We are big fans of the HUB TV Network. They have brought back some old favorites such as “The Wonder Years,” “Family Ties,” and “Batman the Animated Series” while creating new shows like “The Adventures of Chuck & Friends” that keep us tuning in.
We were recently invited to a sneak preview of a new TRANSFORMERS series. Created especially for a younger generation of TRANSFORMERS fans, “Transformers Rescue Bots,” follows a group of Autobots teamed with a human family of first responders including a police chief, firefighter, rescue pilot and engineer to keep peace and safety on a technologically advanced island.
The premiere was held at the Hollywood Fire Museum where we were treated to a wonderfully scrumptious breakfast and introduced to the voices of the cartoon characters. We were especially excited to meet Jason Marsden, the voice of Kade Burns in the show, who showed up with his wife and 2 year old son. Super nice family!
The show was delightfully funny and included jokes that even made me laugh out loud. Although it may be a bit old for my little 19 month old my hubby was ready to tune in! But then again he also watches “Batman the Animated Series.” I guess men are just big boys. ; )
After the show we were led on tours of the iconic museum from real-life heroes who provided fire and safety lessons along the way.
I was so impressed with the museum! Built in 1930, Fire Station 27 was the largest fire station west of the Mississippi. For decades, Fire Station 27 served Hollywood, the motion picture studios and the stars who lived in the Hollywood Hills and along Sunset Boulevard. During major emergencies, it served the entire city at large. Today, Fire Station 27 is a completely restored facility, and represents what the station was like when it was in operation. Three apparatus bays are filled with equipment, some dating back to the early 1900s and not to be found anywhere else. In addition, artifacts and equipment of all types are on display, dating from the 1880s through the present day. Old Station 27 also includes a Fire Service Research Library and a learning center where fire and life safety lessons are shared with both children and adults.
Don’t miss the Series Premiere of “Transformers Rescue Bots” Saturday, February 18th at 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT on The Hub.
