Academic Achievers: Kinder Prep & Early El Camp

Description:

Give your child a head start this summer at Academic Achievers’ award-winning KinderPrep & Early Elementary Camp.

This whole child approach to learning is both academically and developmentally appropriate, preparing your child for the academic rigor of school along with age appropriate social and emotional skills.  We’ll focus on literacy, math, science, story-telling, foreign language, and more! Your child will be supported in a caring community, while practicing transitions, following directions, listening, public speaking, and other crucial life skills integral to a successful school experience.

With a student to Masters teacher ratio of 4:1, and an individual assessment, your child’s experience will be completely customized and a whole lot of fun!

The Los Angeles Times as well as CBS Local has featured KinderPrep Camp as the place to be!

The camp is held in Academic Achievers indoor/outdoor play space in the Santa Monica Colorado Center, from 9:00-12:00, M-F, Session 1: June 19-23; Session 2: August 14-18; Session 3: August 21-25.

Camp includes daily healthy snacks, mini-assessment, tee-shirt, and digital portfolio.

Alexa Café: All-Girls Tech Learning Experience

Description:

Immerse in this chic concept where girls ages 10-15 discover coding, design, filmmaking, leadership, entrepreneurship, and more. This program is about more than technology. It’s about making the world a better place and innovating solutions to help others in our local communities and beyond our borders. Alexa Café isn’t just an all-girls summer tech camp. It’s a movement.

iD Tech also offers iD Tech Camps (for ages 7-17, multiple LA locations), iD Programming Academy (for teens, held at UCLA), iD Game Design & Development Academy (for teens), and iD Tech Mini (half/full day for ages 6-9, held at Caltech).

Got Game Camp

Description:

Got Game Camp is the premier Los Angeles summer day camp designed for kids of all skills, interests, and experience levels, ages 4-14!

Got Game Camp is an all encompassing camp with two program offerings. You have the choice of joining our all day camp with daily activities ranging from all sports and games to robotics, arts and crafts, science, dance, technology, and much more! In addition, we offer the Got Game Academy, which is a fun, hands-on way to further your child’s academic skills during the summer months. Academy runs Monday thru Thursday from 9:30-12:30 with options of adding our day camp in the afternoons and/or Field Trip Fridays!

iD Tech Camps

Description:

Develop real-world tech skills and experience firsthand how interests can turn into a college degree and future career. Led by hip, tech-savvy instructors, ages 7-17 code apps, design video games, mod with Minecraft, engineer robots, build websites, produce films, and more. Curriculum is delivered in small clusters of just 8 students per instructor. Optional Accredited Continuing Education Units available.

PlanetBravo Summer Camp

Description:

Techno-tainment Summer Camp runs one-week sessions Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm for students entering grades 2-9. Students sign-up for one week-long course at a time from the list of available options. Students who sign up for multiple weeks may take all different courses, or repeat some of their favorites, since all our classes have a wealth of possible projects to complete. Each day is balanced with a healthy mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including afternoon sports, snack break, and the ever popular computer games of Network Game Time. There are always multiple activity options during these times to ensure all students find something they enjoy. At the end of each week, we hold a closing award ceremony and open house where students can show off their work and are recognized for their accomplishments.

Project Scientist Academy

Description:

Project Scientist is an all GIRLS Summer science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) Academy at Caltech in Pasadena.  Girls ages 4 to 12 participate in hands on science activities, meet female STEM professionals, and go on Expeditions to STEM companies and universities, furthering their knowledge, passion, and interest in science.  Check out www.projectscientist.org to see if your daughter would enjoy “geeking out” on science with like minded girls, credentialed teachers, and amazing STEM professionals!

Rev Robots: CodeREV

Description:

One of our most popular camps, Rev Robots allows students to build their favorite robots using Lego Mindstorms and Arduinos. Not only do they build their robots, but students also learn to program them using the Mindsotrm coding framework and the underpinnings of C++ with the Arduino framework. Students explore engineering ability and creativity in this hands-on building camp.

Students engage in multiple types of instruction and interaction that include on and off-screen time and even fun and exciting outdoor games.

Robotics and STEM Summer Camp at Rolling Robots
