Description:

Aerial and Action Arts (aerials, silks, hoop, trapeze, dance, parkour basics, tumbling and trampoline) is a fitness phenomenon whose popularity is exploding across the nation. It combines athleticism with self-expression, effort with art, personal commitment with a sense of community. We are offering 10 weekly sessions in summer for kids ages 6-14. No experience necessary, all levels welcome! 2016 dates June 6-Aug 27.

Alexa Café: All-Girls Tech Learning Experience

Description:

Immerse in this chic concept where girls ages 10-15 discover coding, design, filmmaking, leadership, entrepreneurship, and more. This program is about more than technology. It’s about making the world a better place and innovating solutions to help others in our local communities and beyond our borders. Alexa Café isn’t just an all-girls summer tech camp. It’s a movement.

iD Tech also offers iD Tech Camps (for ages 7-17, multiple LA locations), iD Programming Academy (for teens, held at UCLA), iD Game Design & Development Academy (for teens), and iD Tech Mini (half/full day for ages 6-9, held at Caltech).

Camp Mirman

Type: Day Camp

Description:

Camp Mirman is a comprehensive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Athletics and Math) day camp open to all Preschool-8th Grade students. For five weeks, Camp Mirman will inspire its campers to delve deep into their artistic selves, discover the world of coding, tinker with Rube Goldberg apparatus, sharpen their woodworking skills, flex their muscles with athletics, and stretch their imaginations in our half-day theatre program.

Camp Wildfolk

Description:

Camp Wildfolk is a fun, modern twist on traditional Day Camp, with a growth-centered and project-based approach. We offer an experiential, explorative experience, where campers are given the autonomy to create their summer adventure by choosing between class options within each “Sphere of Fun” rotation, while still having the safety and accountability of a traditional camper group with Tribe Guides.

All Campers go on a Beach Field trip the 1st Wednesday of each 2-week Session and our oldest campers (Ages 8+ & GITs)  go on an Adventure Field Trip (to places like Knott’s & Hurricane Harbor) the 2nd Wednesday of each Session.

Four Spheres of Fun: 1. Movement & Teambuilding, 2. Creativity & Expression, 3. Innovation & Exploration, and 4. Group Projects

At Camp Wildfolk, we’re about process over product. We love open-ended activities and provocations, where camper’s ideas and expression takes the lead. Our camp day is hands-on, messy, camper-centered, guided from the side, and encourages camper voice and choice, as much as possible. Campers at Wildfolk have the opportunity to explore, forge deep peer connections, take healthy risks, bond with compassionate adults, develop autonomy, and be authentically themselves.

Camp Zimmer

Type: Day Camp

Description:

Each week highlights themes of social responsibility in a unique way (which parents dig), and each camp day features arts of all kinds, creative and scientific exploration and of course, plenty of play time (which kids love!).  With experienced educators and inventive curriculum, summer camp at the Zimmer engages kids in body, mind and heart.

This summer, themes include: Lights, Camera… Create!, Mythical Creatures, iMAGiCnation, Curious California, and more!

Each camp week is Monday – Friday from 9am – 3pm with options for aftercare at the Museum.  For ages 3 – 8 years.

Camp Zimmer is offered at the Zimmer Children’s Museum from June 19 – Sept 1, and at Sinai Akiba Academy from June 26 – Aug 11.

At the  Museum, campers enjoy two levels of interactive museum play time and special guests presentations that include puppet shows, a magician, reptiles, and more!

At Sinai Akiba, campers enjoy outdoor play, bounce house, kiddie pool water play, weekly snack socials, guest presenters and more!

Children’s Art Institute

Description:

The Children’s Art Institute (CAI) is an arts program for young people. CAI provides a dynamic, nurturing environment that inspires children to discover their unique, creative talents through a variety of hands-on workshops. Our summer program offers three sessions of camp. The program is designed to allow participants to choose their own schedule of workshops based on their interests and desires. We also offer a program specifically for ages 12-17 called Counselor-in-Training.

Coast Sports Summer of Fun and Rookie Camp

Description:

Each day is unique at our Summer of Fun and Rookie Camp, with a mix of soccer, basketball, flag football, hockey, arts & crafts, “don’t do this at home,” human car wash, mess 4 success, water play, human bowling and more.

We empower kids by providing a nurturing, supportive setting in which they have choice. They can enhance their skills in an area in which they’re already passionate or bounce from soccer to arts & crafts to hockey. We ask, “if we were kids (which we basically still are), what would we want to do?” and go from there.

Description:

Designer Camp is a hands-on, creative summer day camp for students ages 11 – 17 who are passionate about design. Located in the West Hollywood Design District, Designer Camp allows students to be immersed in the design industry focusing on creative areas such as Interior Design, Photography, Fashion Styling, Trend Forecasting, Fashion Design, Blogging, Entertainment Set Design, Merchandising, and much more! Designer Camp is a true creative community that welcomes the youth of Los Angeles into the design world.
