Established in 1965 as one of the best traditional day camps in Southern California. Now located on 120 private acres in the Malibu / Agoura Hills area at Calamigos Ranch. Calamigos Ranch was home for one of the earliest camps in California dating back to the 1940’s. This strong tradition continues with Camp Summertime. Camp Summertime is dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and enriching environment. We promote each child’s social, emotional, creative and physical development through individual and team activities. Campers build self-confidence, self-esteem and self-respect within this supportive environment.
Bus transportation is available each day from most areas including the San Fernando Valley, Malibu and the Conejo Valley. Flexible scheduling allows campers to enroll from 2 to 5 days per week. Summer 2017 dates run from June 19 – August 18.
Each week highlights themes of social responsibility in a unique way (which parents dig), and each camp day features arts of all kinds, creative and scientific exploration and of course, plenty of play time (which kids love!). With experienced educators and inventive curriculum, summer camp at the Zimmer engages kids in body, mind and heart.
This summer, themes include: Lights, Camera… Create!, Mythical Creatures, iMAGiCnation, Curious California, and more!
Each camp week is Monday – Friday from 9am – 3pm with options for aftercare at the Museum. For ages 3 – 8 years.
Camp Zimmer is offered at the Zimmer Children’s Museum from June 19 – Sept 1, and at Sinai Akiba Academy from June 26 – Aug 11.
At the Museum, campers enjoy two levels of interactive museum play time and special guests presentations that include puppet shows, a magician, reptiles, and more!
At Sinai Akiba, campers enjoy outdoor play, bounce house, kiddie pool water play, weekly snack socials, guest presenters and more!

Kids come into this world brimming with curiosity, wonder and creative potential. Unfortunately, we often squash that potential by telling kids what to do, and what to learn.
At Steve & Kate’s, we believe that when you trust kids, they develop the confidence to trust themselves, and learn to use their own judgment. So we built a summer camp that puts kids in charge. Because unlike traditional schools, summer gives us the freedom to reinvent learning in a way that allows kids to make their own choices – and, of course, a few mistakes along the way.
Driven by this belief, we’ve built our summer camp to put kids in the driver’s seat of a world of possibilities. So whether your child is a natural-born storyteller with a love for animation, or a budding chef, or a hacker-in-training, or a dance machine, they can dive into their passions in a world free from adult judgments and expectations.
After 37 years, we are still obsessed with reinventing every summer. Because if we’ve learned one thing, it’s that when you think like a child, anything is possible.
