The All GIRLS Empowerment Summer Camp is hosted by SHIELD Women’s Self Defense System®.

The Camp’s main goal is for the girls to have the most fun & empowering time, while becoming proficient in self-defense skills, boost confidence, and become physically & mentally stronger.

This course will teach the girls on how to have confidence and how to be safe around bullies and strangers! They will know how to get away from a hair pull, grab from behind, chokehold, wrist grabs, and more! They will also learn how to do: Palm Strikes, Elbow Strikes, Knee Strikes, Kicking, Blocking, Takedowns, and Grappling! It’s awesome!

SHIELD has been teaching self-defense exclusively for women and girls in the past 20 years.

Open for girls ages 7 to 17 years old.

Camp meets on Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.
Early drop off from 8:30am. Late pick up until 5:30pm.

Fitness by the Sea Beach Camp (FBS) is Los Angeles’ premiere and oldest beach camp (celebrating our 25th year) for children ages 4.5-14. With beachside locations in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, an experienced and spirited staff (average age 23), and low camper to staff ratios (6:1), FBS offers a full range of over 200 dynamic and creative activities in an encouraging and nurturing environment.

SIGN UP BY THE WEEK- Register your child for any weeks you wish, with no minimum weeks. Add as many weeks as you want whenever you want! With free and unlimited schedule changes you can¹t go wrong!

100% SAFETY RECORD– For the past 24 years, Fitness by the Sea has been recognized as the “safest beach camp” in the Los Angeles area. All of our camps cater to first-time campers and kids new to the ocean. No Prior ocean experience is required. Non-swimmers are welcome!

BUS TRANSPORTATION- Bus stops serving communities in Westwood, Beverly Hills, Cheviot Hills, West Hollywood, Mar Vista, Culver City, Venice, Marina del Rey, Playa Vista, Playa del Rey, and El Segundo areas.

OVER 200 ACTIVITIES- “Something for Everyone” – Ages 4.5-14

At The Center, you can design your own day camp adventure and mix and match activities to create the ultimate summer experience. Do you want to learn a new language, sink some hoops, brush up on math skills, design a robot, or dance your heart out? Whatever you choose, you can do it all at The Center this summer.

And let’s not forget about the amazing features The Center has to offer. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art classrooms, outstanding athletic facilities, and nurturing staff who are ready to make your summer unforgettable. Plus, with expert teachers guiding you through each activity, you’ll be learning and having fun at the same time.

Summer at The Center has it all – arts, science, inventions, athletics, drones, architecture, cooking, Minecraft, robotics, crafts, language arts, mathemagic, dance, drama, and so much more. With one-week programs available, you can choose the perfect summer camp experience that suits you.

Campers may be dropped off between 8:00-9:00 a.m. for no extra charge. Classes run from 9:00 am-3:00 p.m. Afternoon Extended Day Care is available from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at $15 per hour per family for any portion of an hour.
