Now of course I was already aware of that, but it really hit home as I remembered the days (and nights) when I didn’t even leave the house for an evening out until 9ish; it was just too early before that.
Well those days are long gone. (Wow, I just had a moment there.) Really long gone.
Well, I may have been yawning, but I was still there, baby! Me and my MomsLA buddies Yvonne & Elise, and we were with some other great Mom bloggers, The 818 and That’s It Mommy – and our hostesses, Jen and Barb of Mom Life.
Mom Life, as hosted by these two would-be supermodels, Jen & Barb, would seem at first glance to be a show about women I couldn’t possibly relate to, but in watching their show and meeting them, it seems there are some Universal Truths to Motherhood:
Your kids will bring you great joy, and also drive you nuts. Your husband may drive you nuts, too.
Getting your kids out the door to school may or may not involve chaos, but more than likely it will.
Everybody’s got a birth story.
Nobody thinks they have the body they did before kids.
Being late is something you get used to. Mostly.
But being Up Late is still a challenge.
So as we all began to turn into pumpkins, even as Sade belted out great tunes, we said our goodnights and thanked our hostesses, Jen & Barb, for a lovely evening, and I felt happy to be a Mom. A tired, tired Mom.
