5th Annual SoCal Moms Great Big Family Play Day

Make sure and head to the Autry Museum for the 5th Annual SoCal Moms Great Big Family Play Day happening on Sunday, June 10th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You’ll want to say hello to Sarah and Yvonne at the MomsLA Booth where they’ll have a mini-manicure station thanks to Nail Garden. GBFPD is the event of the summer and features live entertainment, interactive experiences for children of all ages, food, raffles, exhibits and booths, and lots more. Passes are available online.

Free Family Movie Night – Moana

100 Fisherman’s Wharf, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

The Redondo Beach Pier hosts free family movie nights every Friday in June. On June 8th, families will enjoy a showing of Moana. Movies start at dusk (about 8:00 pm) and end about 10:00 pm.

Eat Seat Hear Outdoor Movie: The Princess Bride
North Hollywood Recreation Center
(enter on Chandler Blvd. just west of Tujunga)

The popular film The Princess Bride will be shown on Saturday, June 9th as part of the Eat See Hear Outdoor Movie series. Doors open at 5:30 pm, music begins at 7:00 pm, and the film starts at 8:30 pm. Food trucks will be on site as well. Be sure to bring pillows, cushions, blankets, and low chairs. Tickets are available online.

Shark Sunday
Santa Monica Pier Aquarium

On Sunday, June 10th from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm (and every Sunday), the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium hosts Shark Sunday. Families can “feast on a little knowledge while our well and horn sharks chow down.” Adults and children 13 and older are $5 each, children 12 and younger are free.

World Oceans Day

Balboa Strawberry Festival

The Balboa Strawberry Festival is happening on Sunday, June 10th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. This free festival celebrates summer and all things strawberry related and includes live musical performances, food trucks, a kids zone, seasonal strawberry treats, and more.

Dockweiler Fun-A-Polooza

Families are invited to the Dockweiler Fun-A-Palooza happening on Saturday, June 9th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This free event features live entertainment, carnival games, balloon artists, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and more. Admission is free, but families are encouraged to RSVP online for faster entry into the event.
