Art Night Pasadena
18 sites in Pasadena

Art Night Pasadena is happening on Friday, October 13th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This event allows families to experience some of Pasadena’s most famous arts and cultural institutions for free! 18 sites are participating, and shuttles are on hand to transport you from one destination to the next. The Jackie Robinson Community Center, the Norton Simon Museum, the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, Pasadena Museum of History, Pasadena Museum of California Art, and the USC Pacific Asia Museum are just some of the participating locations. Food trucks will also be on hand. Check the website for information about the shuttles and their routes so you can best plan your evening. 

Front Porch Cinema: Hidden Figures
Santa Monica Pier

Families are invited to an outdoor viewing of Hidden Figures (rated PG) at the Santa Monica Pier on Friday, October 13th. Music begins at 6:00 pm, and the film begins at 7:30 pm. Movies are free, and provide an opportunity for the community to watch an inspiring film together and have some fun at the end of the week! Bring a blanket, or rent lawn chairs on site, and enjoy food, fun, and a good film.

Dia de los Muertos Workshop
Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum

Families can attend a special Dia del los Muertos Workshop on Saturday, October 14th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. At this free event, families will learn about the history and tradition of altars as well as how to make your own altar for Dia de los Muertos. RSVP online.

Pumpkin Festival

The Pumpkin Festival is happening on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm each day. This annual event features so many fun activities including carnival games, bouncers, face painting, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch, crafts, a costume parade, live musical performances, and much more. Admission is free, though some of the activities do require tickets.

Fall Festival
The Original Farmers Market

The Farmers Market is hosting its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th. This free event features lots of fun activities including live music, a petting zoo, pie-eating contests, and much more.

18th Annual Scarium of the Pacific
Aquarium of the Pacific

Plan to visit the “Scarium of the Pacific” on Saturday, October 14th and/or Sunday, October 15th (9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day). This fun, annual event is described as a “spooktacular, educational Halloween event for the whole family.” The fun includes magic shows, underwater pumpkin carving, crafts, spooky storytelling, a children’s costume contest, the chance to meet “eerie animals,” and more. Reyes Adobe Days

Families can participate in Reyes Adobe Days from Friday, October 13th through Sunday, October 15th. Different events are planned for each day including live musical entertainment, children’s activities, tours of the adobe, food, and much more. Depot Day

Families are invited to Depot Day on Sunday, October 15th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This fun event celebrates Travel Town’s 65th Anniversary! Families will enjoy live music, vintage vehicles, guided tours, special exhibits, a bake sale, and much more.

Next Tuesday, October 17th from 10am-12pm, kids can enjoy a FREE performance by folk music group The Hollow Trees. The free Kids Corner event happens every Tuesday through the end of the month.
