Star Wars Day

Star Wars Day is happening at the Orange County Zoo on Saturday, June 16th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Enjoy kids crafts, games, photo opportunities with Star Wars characters, animal meet-and-greets, and more. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed in Star Wars attire/costumes, and the first 100 children (12 and under) in Star Wars costume will receive a free gift and a free train ride ticket at Irvine Park Railroad. All activities are included in general Zoo admission of $2 per person, ages 2 and under are free. Parking is $5.
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

Families are invited to experience the grunion run on Friday, June 15th. Grunion are one of a few species of fish that come to shore to lay their eggs on the beach. Learn about these interesting fish and don’t forget to dress warmly and bring a flashlight. Tickets are available online. ($5 for adults, $1 for children, students, and seniors). The event begins at 8:00 pm.
Nothin’ But Sand Beach Cleanup

Families can participate in “Nothin’ But Sand” Beach Cleanup on Saturday, June 16th. Cleanups begin at 10:00 am Come prepared with water. Bags, gloves, and snacks will be provided while supplies last. You can sign up online.

Dads and kids are invited to the South Coast Botanic Garden on Sunday, June 17th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for a special dad-centered activity.
