CatCon Turns 10: The Ultimate Celebration of Whiskers, Weirdness, and Feline Fandom

Clear your calendar, Pasadena—CatCon is pouncing back into town, and this year it’s bigger, bolder, and furrier than ever. The self-described “Comic-Con for cat people” returns to the Pasadena Convention Center on August 2–3, and it’s celebrating a full decade of cat-centric culture.

Yes, that’s right. Ten years of cat memes made real, Insta-famous feline guests, and the kind of cosplay you never knew could involve so many tails.

What’s New (and Totally Bonkers) This Year

Heroes of the Australian Firefighters Calendar are back for meet-and-greets—shirtless, charitable, and in full support of local animal rescue efforts. That’s right: kittens and calendars, together at last.

A literal cat oracle sponsored by World’s Best Cat Litter. Because nothing says clarity like a spiritual reading with a litter-centric twist.

Pet a giant cat butt for points. No, seriously. A USC student group designed an arcade game where players pet a super-sized feline rear to score. Interpret that however you need to.

TikTok phenom Madelline will perform her moody-meets-meow pop live. Expect cabaret vibes and eyeliner with claws.

For the Families (and the Felines)

This isn’t just for internet-savvy Gen Z catfluencers. Families will find plenty to love, including the Pasadena Humane Adoption Village, where over 200 kittens have found homes in years past. Plus, every ticket sold donates $1 to Pasadena Humane’s work with pets displaced by the Altadena fire.

Kids’ tickets start at just $11.42, and general admission for adults is $47.93—a small price to pay for access to celebrity cats like Nathan the Cat Lady, Maple Cat, and Cat Named Calvin, plus vendors, panels, photo ops, and more feline paraphernalia than you can shake a feather wand at.

Details at a Glance:

When: August 2–3, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Where: Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E Green St

So whether you’re a proud cat parent, a meme collector, or just looking for an air-conditioned place to let your quirky side run wild, CatCon 2025 might just be the purrfect way to spend your weekend.
