Santa Disneyland Parade

Disney knows how to decorate, that’s for sure.

I am a sucker for holiday decorations and nobody does it quite like Disneyland. There are probably more miles of garland draped around Disneyland than at all other places in the world combined. (Okay, that’s maybe a slight exaggeration…)

The new Carsland is delightful even without mistletoe & holly, but they’ve done a wonderful job of making it festive, with Xmas trees and Santa hats, and the snowman with the nose cone really takes the cake.

Of course there are beautiful holiday decorations you can buy and take home as well, like these adorable ornaments.

And it’s not the holidays without some sweet treats like these!

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful day at both Disneyland and California Adventure, and believe me, it didn’t start out that way. I have a moody teenager (is there any other kind?) and the morning was looking rough, since a certain someone had woken up on the wrong side of the bed… But Disneyland saved our day!

The new Radiator Springs Racers ride in Carsland put a smile on all of our faces, but of course it was the famed Jungle Cruise ride in Disneyland that always makes us laugh. Even though I’ve heard those jokes a million times over the years, for my kids – even my teenager – it’s all new, and very funny.

And the holiday spirit was infectious. It was a great way for us to kick off our favorite season of the year!

So whether or not you have a tired cranky – and very hungry – teenager in your household, I recommend visiting Disneyland and California Adventure for the holidays. It’s visually stunning and the fun is in the air.

We were given park hopper tickets in order to review the parks for the holidays.
