Disneyland Holidays and Season of the Force
Disneyland has launched their annual Holiday celebration, this time with a dose of the Force. In anticipation of the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and of the ultimate opening of Star Wars Land, Disneyland has created an experience sure to thrill every Star Wars fan around.

Season of the Force
Star Wars Season of the Force has debuted in Tomorrowland and there are so many reasons why fans will delight in it. Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is a compilation film and homage to the epic saga of Star Wars, from the first images of Luke Skywalker watching two suns set, all the way to select preview images from the soon-to-be-released latest installment: Star Wars the Force Awakens.
Star Tours has been reimagined with footage from The Force Awakens, and Space Mountain has been renamed “Hyperspace Mountain.” The ride now recreates the flight of an X-Wing fighter battling through the darkness, complete with an original soundtrack recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra. And Jedi Training has been updated to include a new story line and characters (debuting December 8th).
The menu at the Galactic Grill inside Tomorrowland has received a Star Wars makeover as well, with both dark side and light side themed food choices. Cheese-3PO burger for lunch, anyone? Or how about the Darth Tamale for breakfast? And who could resist these bonus souvenirs in the beverages?
Star Wars Launch Bay
Star Wars Launch Bay may be the true fan’s ultimate destination. Filled with displays of props from the films and bespoke creations made only for this exhibit, it’s like a museum, and reverence abounds. Character encounters are also part of the plan, so you may be able to get a photo with Darth Vader, Boba Fett or Chewbacca.
Fans can play current and upcoming Star Wars video games in the Game Center, and someone I know loved taking a photo in the “Cantina” from Mos Eisley.
The gift shop offers high-end art pieces and character costumes with exacting attention to detail – and price tags to match. Some true fan will have trouble resisting the “life-sized” Yoda, and can you blame them?
Season of the Force in Tomorrowland offers a glimpse into the possible design of Disneyland’s upcoming Star Wars land, and I predict all fans will be very happy.
Disneyland Holiday Decorations
No one does the Holidays quite like Disneyland, and everything is decked out at the park from now until January 6, 2016. I love seeing what they do and secretly wish I could hire their magic elves to come to my house each year. Both Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland get the amazing Disney treatment and I always love seeing all the details.
We were invited on the evening Mickey Mouse and his pals lit up “It’s a Small World” for the holidays. The Haunted Mansion gets a visit from Jack Skellington and the rest of the characters from “Nightmare before Christmas” this time of year, and the famous Jungle Cruise becomes the Jingle Cruise.
At Disney’s California Adventure, Carsland gets the Holiday treatment in the most adorable way, and you can experience Viva Navidad as well. The Diamond Celebration, honoring Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary, also continues with special parades and World of Color performances.
