Estée Lauder Double Wear For A Professional Look

As a Mom, most of my time and energy has been focused on my kids, but as they’ve grown up, I’ve been able to spend more time on my work, and let’s be honest: on myself. I had let myself go and really needed to step up my game. Besides losing weight and getting into a fitness routine a couple of years ago, I have upgraded my wardrobe from Yoga Pants to professional attire, and I’ve taught myself about using makeup for a fresh, professional look.

I didn’t grow up being used to wearing a lot of foundation, so I was super happy when I tried Estée Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup, which came through a blogger program run by Condé Nast. It gave me a clean, fresh look, that didn’t feel heavy, get cracked or cake-y, and it did stay in place all day, as a matter of fact!

My Professional Look: For Youtube

This is Los Angeles, a city where every other person has a script in his or her back pocket, and nowadays they probably have a web series, too. Hello, that would be me.

I moved here to pursue my love of film and along the way I ended up married with kids, putting that dream on hold. But ever since Youtube was invented, I’ve realized that my dream is possible again, so I’ve shot a bunch of videos for our MomsLA channel (which I’m very proud of) – and now I’m excited to be shooting a new web series with my friend Mary Kay of Daily Hot Guy. The topic: Craft Cocktails! (Stay tuned for more on that later…)

I wanted to look my absolute best for the big shoot day, so I did my face with the Estée Lauder Double Wear Light. I felt super confident that I was projecting the look I wanted, and the great news was, even in the midst of shooting, I didn’t need touch-ups. Oh, and? The shoot was super fun and the cocktails were delicious.

Makeup Steps- Estée Lauder Double Wear Light

At the Estée Lauder Beauty Counter

I am surprisingly bad at choosing a good color match for my skin tone, so I went to the Estée Lauder Beauty Counter at Macy’s in Century City the other day and the very talented woman behind the counter helped me out. She chose “Intensity 2.0” and I think it’s perfect. If left to my own, I know I would have chosen a darker shade, and I would have been unhappy. I’m very glad she was there to help keep me from making a mistake.

She also helped me choose another product: Estée Lauder Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 30. That one I got in “Intensity 2.0” as well. But the interesting thing is that she didn’t have any in stock bedside the tester, so she had it mailed to me at no extra charge. I loved that extra bit of personal service!

Highly Recommend Estée Lauder Double Wear

What I liked best about Estée Lauder Double Wear, in both the formulations I tried, is the coverage and how it made my skin feel. It goes on smoothly without clumping, whether I use my fingers, a sponge or the brush they were also kind enough to provide.

Using the brush did result in a heavier layer on my face, but that was the day of my shoot, so I was happy to have the extra! And even the heavier layer was still not too heavy. I felt natural and yet polished enough for video. And now that the Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture product has arrived, I’m looking forward to getting all-day sun protection as well. Super important here in Los Angeles.

So glad I got to try these Estée Lauder Double Wear products and I can recommend them without reservation.
