If you haven’t yet been, you’ll want to make sure to visit the National Geographic Photo Ark exhibition by Sunday, January 13th (that’s the exhibit’s last day at the Annenberg Space for Photography). The exhibit is a “multiyear project led by photographer Joel Sartore, whose life mission is to photograph every species living in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries.” You’ll get up close to almost 100 captivating large-format prints of animals both familiar and exotic. The exhibit also includes a short documentary film, an interactive game, and a studio where visitors can be photographed with their favorite animals as a backdrop. Be sure to ask for a Family Activity guide or you can download one from the website. Admission is free. (The Annenberg Space for Photography is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and open 11:00 am to 6:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday).
