One of the best things about having a business in Los Angeles is seeing other businesses grow. One of those is Paleta, a Farm-to-Table Meal Delivery service started by Kelly Boyer. Kelly started the business back in 2005 after leaving her job as an HR executive and enrolling in cooking school.
Since then, Paleta has become a successful business serving delicious food to people in Southern California and beyond. Paleta has created meal plans that include paleo, plant based, pregnancy and personalized. Sarah and I were invited to a launch event recently for Paleta’s new Keto to the Kore, Ketogenic Meal Program.
The most important thing about any meal plan is that the food has to be good. Everything we tasted was amazing.
Kelly said she wanted to learn to cook to be able to throw a better dinner party. But she became interested in food and how it impacts the body after surviving Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer at 21. Flash forward 30 years later and she’s coming up with nutritious meal plans.
Keto is the newest addition to menu at Paleta. As far as what you eat, it’s similar to Paleo – meat, vegetables, gluten and sugar free, but a little different. The Paleta website can explain what it’s designed to do, better than I can.
“PALETA’s 2-Phase KETO TO THE KORE nutrition program drastically reduces and replaces carb consumption with fats & lean protein. This puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis (“KETO”), which turns you into a fat burning machine. Menu offerings are made with locally sourced, organic, non-gmo, gluten-free, and sugar-free ingredients. We take the hassle out of managing your health by providing perfectly portioned ready-to-eat/ketogenic meals and snacks to keep cravings at bay. Expect changes in how you feel very quickly!”
Disclosure: Sarah and I were invited to lunch and given a coupon to try Paleta meal delivery for ourselves. All opinions are our own.
