Sometimes You Have To Leave Your Neighborhood; Tuk Tuk Thai Review

Going out to dinner has become a bit of a routine for my family. I ask my sons and husband where they want to go and they come up with one of a half dozen places that we can either walk to or is a 5 minute drive away.

This week, I decided we were going to venture out of our neighborhood and try someplace new. MomsLA is a Restaurant.com ambassador so I went on the site and searched for restaurants. Tuk Tuk Thai wasn’t too far away (in the Pico/Robertson area of LA) and looked really good.

It was more than good, it was great. We loved everything we ordered. I had the green curry with chicken that was cooked with apple eggplant, red jalapeno, and coconut milk.

It was delicious, but what I liked the most was the brown rice. It was really hearty and tasty.

My husband got the Spicy Holy Basil and it was definitely spicy.

We both shared the garlic spinach and loved it.

My kids shared an order of glass noodles with chicken. I forgot to take a picture of it, but I did take one of the dessert we shared, which was Mango and Sticky Rice. I’ve never had it before, but it was delightful and we were fighting over the last bites. My only complaint about the dinner was the wine. My husband and I ordered 2 different glasses and we didn’t love either of them. But other than that, we left very happy.

A portion of the meal was paid for with a $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate. Right now, you can buy a $25 certificate for $10 or a $50 for $20 or a $75 certificate for $30 (this is subject to change).

We had a great experience venturing out of our neighborhood for family dinner and I think we’re going to do it more often.
