You never know when you’re going to learn something that will change your life. Working with Registered Dietician Ashley Koff, I learned things about food and nutrition that changed the way I look at food, resulting in weight loss, increased energy and a healthier lifestyle. Ashley Koff’s The Better Nutrition Program is designed to have lasting results instead of quick-fix changes, which is why we’re happily telling you about the program.

What did I learn that changed my life? It was simple, but not something that happened overnight. Ashley worked with me and Sarah for the Make Better Challenge a few years ago. Sarah and I agreed to make a commitment to our health starting when our kids went back to school and through the end of the school year – that’s 9 months!

It was called “Make Better” and not “Shed Pounds” because it was about making us better; the goal wasn’t to lose weight, but to help make us feel better by guiding us to making better choices.

During that time, I learned tools I still use today. When I wake up in the morning, I really think about what I’m putting into my body, how much I’m moving during the day and how I’m feeling about life. In the morning, I try to think about what my day will look like.

The choices I make will have an impact on how I feel. If I have a bagel for breakfast, I’ll crash by mid morning and be tired and starving. I thought that the midmorning and afternoon happened to everyone and there was nothing I could do about it. But it was how my body was reacting to what I was eating. By working with Ashley I figured out that I was eating too much bread and sugar – actually, I learned that I was eating too much overall.

I lost 10 pounds working with Ashley and I’ve kept those off (of course 2 or three pounds come and go – the holidays!). And I feel like the quality of the food I eat has gone up. I really can’t say enough good things about working with Ashley!

Now that you know how Ashley’s plan worked for me, here’s what she has to offer you. The Better Nutrition Program is an online program that allows you to pick the plan that works for you.

How it works:

Start with the Better Nutrition Quiz – The quiz asks you questions about what types of food you’re eating and when you’re eating to get an idea of the program you need.

After you take the quiz, you’re given links to Ashley’s articles and videos like, “Are you guessing what your body needs to run better?” and “Ways to cut back on mindless snacking.” These helpful articles and videos are free.

All of this is to help you decide which plan you’re interested in doing. Or you may already know that you want to buy the Weight Loss package or the Pregnancy package or the Anti-Inflammatory package.

When I worked with Ashley, we had occasional calls and emails to help keep it going. With the Better Nutrition Plan, you have access to tools to help you succeed. Packages run from $49.99 to $225.

There are also helpful guides to Better Nutrition for Heart Health, Beauty, Pre-teens and Nutrition on a Budget.
