Updated for Winter 2023

Los Angeles Public Schools take three weeks off during the Holidays, leaving working parents in need of camps for their kids. Here’s a list of terrific Winter Camps in Los Angeles to choose from.

Some camps have coverage the whole time and some only run part of it, so be sure to check the details before booking. There are so many options: kids could do coding, play Minecraft, play sports, do improv comedy, make fun crafts, learn acting and filmmaking, learn to sail – and no matter what you choose, they’ll have a ball!

Camp Wildfolk Winter Camp, held at their amazing Valley Village location, is a project-based, child-centered, and growth-focused Day Camp. They create a supportive and spirited atmosphere to encourage kids to be more wild and free.

Wildfolk Free-Range is a cozy, relaxed “recreation-style” version of their “Classic” summer offering– with more freedom & flexibility for campers to choose their activities given the shorter program time- ages 4 through 4th grade. Additionally, campers start their day with teambuilding activities with their Team and spirited activities, songs, dress-up opportunities, and fun surprises are sprinkled throughout the week. Young Folks (TK and Kinder) campers stay together throughout the day.

Adventure Camp is an opportunity to adventure big during Winter Break for TK- 5th graders with daily field trips to places like Pump it Up, Discovery Cube, and MB2—which has go karts, bumper boats, laser tag, and unlimited arcade fun!

Two Winter Camp Sessions:

Ages 5 – 14

Camp Wildcraft is an art and nature camp whose mission is to “grow curious, creative, confident and caring kids who feel at home in nature.”  Each day we hike and explore nature together and work on art projects using a wide range of materials and techniques– working with clay, building with wood, embossing metal, painting and drawing, using natural dyes, weaving with yarn. Campers participate in choice activities: baking cookies, improv theater, playing basketball in our sports court and big games in the field. We are small by design with mixed age groups.  Middle school kids participate in our Junior Guide Program, learning leadership skills, participating in special programs and leading projects at camp which build on their skills and interests. Camp programs take place mostly outdoors on our beautiful expansive campus. In case of rain we will use our spacious indoor lodge.
