Kadima Day School – “A Taste of Kindergarten”

January 16 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Free

Kadima Day School will host “A Taste of Kindergarten” on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 for prospective families considering the Jewish day school and current Kadima families. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet Kadima’s educational leadership team along with some kindergarten and elementary teachers, preview the curriculum and tour the beautiful campus. The event will be held from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Evenhaim Family Campus and parents are encouraged to bring their prospective kindergartners for a night of learning, food and fun. “A Taste of Kindergarten” will showcase the wonderful learning experience that a Kadima Day School education provides. From language arts, Judaic studies and Hebrew, to music, PE and science, Kadima inspires its students, aged 2-14, to grow spiritually and intellectually. A group of donors led by Shawn and Dorit Evenhaim, continuously show tremendous financial support to Kadima as a part of their commitment to make private Jewish education more accessible to families. Their donations allowed for the school’s tuition to be reduced greatly. Kadima is thrilled to extend this opportunity to families interested in an affordable private Jewish education. Kadima is the destination for an exceptional, private Jewish education from preschool through middle school. Our dedicated faculty empowers students to grasp complex concepts, embrace new technologies and establish a superior intellectual foundation. Kadima fosters a rigorous academic program and a dual language Hebrew curriculum. With customs, traditions and community service as their moral compass, students thrive in the supportive academic setting that Kadima provides so that they succeed as proud Jewish individuals. To R.S.V.P for “A Taste of Kindergarten,” please email admissions@kadimadayschool.org as soon as possible with the number of guests in your party.

Following a sold out, critically acclaimed, 7-month run in NYC, Peter Michael Marino’s interactive "Show Up, Kids!” makes it West Coast premiere on weekends at Complex Hollywood, January 12-20. This entirely unique, improvised, family show for kids 3-10 years old puts a comedic twist on the traditional kids’ show. When the main attraction doesn’t show up, Pete enlists the kids to help create a show from set to sound, plot to props, and costumes to characters. What could possibly go wrong? ***** “Marino handles the unpredictability of working with children in an improvised environment with great skill and grace, putting on a fantastic performance which my children were talking about long after the show.” - Backstage on the Fringe “Fantastic fun! A one-man whirling dervish of energy, comic timing, physical agility, and out and out hilarity. The kids were absolutely mesmerized!” - The Front Row Center “This show is not like any other show. Usually, the kids are just watching things happen, but here, kids are actually part of the show. Pete definitely has a superpower!”- Kids News NYC **** “Hilarious! Marino knows what kids find funny. A show of this caliber is an opportunity to show up for!” - The Wee Review
