Give your child a head start this summer at Academic Achievers’ award-winning KinderPrep & Early Elementary Camp.

Amplify Sleep Away Camp is a music and creative arts camp for girls. We are located on the Ojai Valley Upper School Campus in Ojai, CA. Girls choose between learning an instrument, forming a band, and writing an original song, photography and film making or journalism. In addition to their specific concentrations, we have several daily “camp” activities to choose from such as: Rock Climbing, Swimming, Zip Lining, Screen Printing, Music Video Making, Karaoke, Movie Nights, Private Music Lessons, DJ-ing, and more. AstroCamp Science & Adventure Summer Camp is an overnight camp located in the beautiful pine forests of the San Jacinto Mountains of California. Our trained, knowledgeable, and FUN staff will inspire your camper, helping them grow academically, socially, and personally. The Children’s Art Institute (CAI) is an arts program for young people ages 5-10. The Money Munchkids Financial Education Kids Camp takes children on an interactive educational adventure to understanding financial literacy and money management.

Three Summer Camps at Young Actors Space. Established in 1979, Young Actors Space is the Original and Premiere school in Los Angeles for young performers.

On-Camera Conservatory – June 25th – 29th – 10:00AM-1:00PM Daily – Ages 10-17 Cost: $650 ($200 deposit)

This 5 day program includes on-camera & audition technique as well as truth based improvisation and scene study. An original scene will be written specifically for each actor. They will be coached, rehearse and shoot the original scene in our professionally lit On-Camera Room. Our Production Conservatory is a fast-paced camp where actors from all over the world help create an original production in ten days. This conservatory focuses on theatre technique and culminates in the premiere of a brand-new play written specifically for the actors involved, which is performed four times in the YAS Theatre. Youth Dialect Workshop – July 23rd – August 3rd (10 days) – 10:00AM – 1:00PM – Monday through Friday – Ages 12-17 Cost: $700 ($200 deposit)

This one-of-a-kind intensive gives young actors the tools they need to master any dialect they wish. Students will spend the first week learning the ins-and-outs the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The second week students will learn how to use the IPA to teach themselves a dialect, using British Received Pronunciation as a basis. On the last day of class, students will be put on tape performing a scene using their newly learned British Dialect. Dialect study is an important but often overlooked facet of an actor’s education – give your young actor the upper hand on their journey! (Limit: 12 students)

Preschool – Pre-Kindergarten
Kindergarten
Elementary (Grades 1 – 5)

Stratford infuses its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) curriculum into an innovative and fun summer camp experience featuring themed, project-based learning and enriched academic challenges.

For the Preschool-Kindergarten age group (2.5 – 5 years old) – Campers learn, explore, and engage in a combination of hands-on learning projects and interactive play.

For the Elementary age group (first through fifth grade, 6-11 years old) – each 2-week camp session is built around a project-based-learning theme, where students collaborate to tackle a real-world problem by utilizing cross-disciplinary academic principles and new concepts in a fun and engaging way. This summer’s themes are planned to include:

Worldly Adventures – Create a new colony. Learn about infrastructure, ecosystems and more.

Innovation Design – Design your own Engineer’s/”Maker’s” lab. In the spirit of “making things that work and making things work better,” students will learn about design and engineering-thinking and then team-up to design their own projects.

Cooking Showdown – Cultivate your own food business. Learn about cuisine from different countries, entrepreneurship and economics.

Summer Institute for Kids

Description:

The Summer Institute for kids offers hands-on fun and enrichment for children who will be entering first through sixth grades. The program provides a great opportunity for children to delve into new or favorite areas of exploration, innovation and learning, including science, technology, sports, engineering, design, math, the arts, music, and much more. The Summer Institute will run 4 one-week sessions from June 18-July 13, 2018 featuring all day and half day classes. Parents and students can mix and match one-week sessions to design their ideal summer program. Popular courses include Culinary Kids, Basketball with the Hoop Masters, Amusement Park Engineering, Hogwarts Wizard School and many more!

Summer of Surf

Type: Sports

Description:

Summer of Surf is a surf and beach camp that provides daily transportation to the beach and has been serving Pasadena and neighboring cities for 6 years.  We run from the Beginning of June to the end of August for ages 7 and up. We offer an array of beach activities including boogie-boarding, surfing, swimming and games. Our focus is on providing a safe and supportive atmosphere for your child to grow and develop their skills in the ocean, whether they are brand new to the ocean or they are an experienced surfer. For 2018 we have partnered with Perfect Day Surf Camp, a Santa Monica based surf camp that has been in business for 16 years. With Summer of Surf and Perfect day, you get a dedicated team, a stellar uncrowded location, and the highest quality personalized experience possible.

Since 1945, Tocaloma Summer Day Camp has been fostering the adventure of childhood with our traditional summer camp full of fun, friends and great activities. Swimming lessons, sports, archery, tennis, drama, nature, arts n crafts are just a few of the offered activities. And, of course, we can’t forget our awesome theme days, including Snow Day {20 tons of snow!}, Mud Decathlon or Halloween in July.

Our camp activities are designed around developing skills and having fun under the care and guidance of our fantastic staff. Our counselors are selected for their silly and fun personalities, maturity and kind hearts.
