Most college campuses have youth and high school programs during the summer. The programs are specialized to help your child learn Design, Art, Science, or a specific sport. This is a great way to get ahead, specialize in one area and meet great friends from all over the area.

Loyola Marymount University

Do your kids love sports? Sign them up for LMU Summer Sports Camps for aquatics, baseball, basketball,, cheer, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and girls volleyball. Campers will learn the best techniques from expert instructors while having a great time on the beautiful LMU campus.
Cal State Los Angeles

CSULA is offering several camps this summer for children in grades 1-12: Young Writers Camp, Secondary Writing Institute, STEAM camp (Science), Math Camp, and Theatre Camp. CSULA offers a sibling discount and an early bird class discount. Registration opens March 18th and closes June 16th.
Cal State Long Beach

Camps @ The Beach cover a very wide range of specialties, sessions and ages. You are sure to find something for your child and their interests. Camps are available for children from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Enroll your child in an Academic Enrichment Camp, Young Artists, Young Scientists, or a sports camp. Session times and prices vary on the camp. Check out their site for more information. Camps @ The Beach is a wonderful place to send all of your kids with different interests and ages.
Cal State Fullerton-Extension

CSUF Extension offers an Art camp or academic subject camps for grades 2 through 12. Camps for each area are offered for 1-2 weeks at a time with multiple sessions for children with busy summer schedules. Camps are generally everyday for either a few hours or the whole day.
Cal State Northridge

CSUN offers a Summer Enrichment Program for children grades 6 through 9 and an Academic Program for grades 9-12. CSUN also offers a Robotics Camp and a Culinary Camp as well! Middle and High School students can take courses for A-G high school credit, while the enrichment programs offers over 30 classes and an after hours program until 2:00 pm.
Cal State Dominguez Hills

CSUDH offers a number of amazing technical courses for students that you cannot find at other campuses like Video Game design, Computer and Special Effects in Game Design and Website Design. With the changing technology, these are unique and great courses for your child to take over the summer. In addition to that, CSUDH offers reading skills courses from Kindergarten through 12th grade as well as academic courses for high school students. Check out their course offerings and see if it’s right for your child.
Cal Arts

Cal Arts offers Summer Programs for Youth offers incredible courses for high school students grades 10-12. Students who attend their elite camps can leave with a professional portfolio for college, a great network of faculty and alumni, as well as new friends. High schoolers can sign up for CAP Visual & Performing Arts Academy or CAP Film Academy. Check out their link for course descriptions and a list of the excellent courses offered in each camp. Programs run 10:00 am to 5:00 pm from July 10 to August 4. Spots fill up quickly so make sure to register today!
UCLA Youth Programs & Summer Institute

UCLA offers a wide variety of youth programs and summer institutes for kids in kindergarten to 12th grade. The Youth Programs offer a number of sports and camps for kids like swimming, sailing, rowing, themed activities, and other fun adventures. Camps also offer extended hours and transportation if the activity is in another location (like the rowing camp). UCLA also offers a number of Summer Institutes for high school aged students to specialize in an area and/or build a portfolio for college applications. Students come and learn from prestigious faculty, meet with alumni, receive guidance on portfolios and earn college credit that is UC and CSU transferable. Spots fill up very quickly so be sure to enroll as soon as possible.
