There are a lot of parks in Los Angeles that your kids will love to explore, but you may not have had the chance to visit every one. We want to help you find all of the fun places to take kids in LA so we’re exploring parks all over the city. This week, we visit Holmby Park in West LA.
Park and Neighborhood:
Holmby Park in Holmby Hills in West Los Angeles
601 Club View Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90024
There are two play areas, one for older kids and one for toddlers. Both playgrounds have sand floors and are in an enclosed space. Next to the playground are picnic tables and BBQ pits that you can easily reserve for parties and fun lunches with friends & family.
Holmby Park is hidden in the most gorgeous neighborhood in Los Angeles. This quiet and perfectly manicured park has large grassy areas for lawn bowling and an 18-hole pony golf course. There are clean bathrooms in the center of the park near the children’s play area. Dogs are allowed at this park, but only on a leash.
There is free 2-hour street parking all around the park, but on busy days it can be difficult to find.
Where to grab a coffee or snack:
The park is less than one mile away from Westwood which has a ton of restaurants, cafes, grocery & clothing stores. Grab lunch or snacks in Westwood and hang out at the park for perfect picnic and afternoon.
Holmby Park is a hidden gem. It is child, pet and adult friendly. Celebrities can often be spotted at the park with their kids or golfing on the green. Holmby Park is clean, quiet and picturesque. This is the perfect stop on a Saturday morning before heading to lunch with the kids. The park is close to some well-known spots like the Los Angeles Country Club, the Playboy Mansion, UCLA, and Century City.
