Exploring LA High Memorial Park

We are exploring parks in Los Angeles from the valley to the beach. This week, we explore LA High Memorial Park in the Mid-Wishire neighborhood.

Park and Neighborhood:
LA High Memorial Park in Los Angeles

Address:
4625 W Olympic Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90019

Play area:

There is one play area in this park with a rubber surface that is suitable for all ages. The play area is set near the library and there is green grass all around. The best time to go to the park is in the morning or early afternoon.

Amenities:

LA High Memorial Park is set in a small but beautiful area off of Olympic Blvd, across the street from Los Angeles High School. Memorial Branch Library is also located on-site. This historic and Tudor style library is small but perfect for families and young children. There are bathrooms located in the library for park and library visitors.

Parking:

There is ample street parking all around the park and library. Make sure to check for street signs, though, since the parking has time limits and no-parking hours.

Where to grab a coffee or snack:

LA High Memorial Park is located .5 miles away from Wilshire Blvd near Miracle Mile. Within 1 mile away (near Highland and Wilshire Blvd), there are many eateries like Jinya Ramen Bar, Fat Burger and Starbucks.

Vibe:

LA High Memorial Park has an art deco style from the early 1900s when the park was built, while the library has an old Tudor style. Everything about this park and library is quaint, family-friendly and just a wonderful place to bring your little ones.
