Exploring Palms Park in West Los Angeles

One of the great things about living in Los Angeles is that you can be outside most of the year. We want to help you find those great outdoor spaces so we’re featuring different parks and all they have to offer. This week, we visit Palms Park in West Los Angeles.

Play area: 

There is one play area in this park that is suitable for all ages.  The rubber surface allows for easy playing for new walkers and bigger kids.

Amenities:

Palms Park is nestled between the Palms Community Center and the Palms-Racho Park Library.  You’ll find basketball courts, a huge soccer field and grassy area, large picnic area with BBQ stands, a public library, a community center & preschool.

Parking: 

There are two free parking lots to accommodate the park and library.

Where to grab a coffee or snack:

Palms Park is located in the perfect spot, surrounded by stores, restaurants and shops. The Westside Pavillon Mall is less than a mile away on Pico and  Overland.  Many grocery store shopping centers are down National Blvd.  And the Coffee Bean is just a quick walk away over the freeway overpass.

Vibe:

Palms Park is cozy and family friendly.  Everything about this spot screams family. There is a public library, preschool, community center and park all in one location. On many Saturday mornings, you’ll find a kids soccer game. On the weekdays, children play at the preschool, small playground or enjoy storytime at the library.
