1. LA Kings Holiday Ice Skating

The LA Kings are hosting their annual Holiday Ice! From November 27th – January 8th, 2022 head to Downtown LA and get out on the Ice! Make it a complete outing – do some holiday shopping, enjoy a great meal, and then have some fun ice skating! Check the website for details including dates, times, and ticket prices.
2. Skating by the Sea

Families can have some fun ice skating while enjoying a view of the ocean! Skating by the Sea opens Friday, December 3rd with a special Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The festivities also include holiday music, on-site food trucks, and crafts. The skating rink will be open throughout the month. Reservations are recommended as drop-ins are limited. Skate lessons are also available. Check the website for hours, prices, and special themed nights happening throughout the month (including Ugly Sweater, Disco, and 80s).
3. The Annual Oceanfront Ice Rink
Ocean Lawn at Paséa Hotel & Spa

For a fun get-away option, you’ll find an outdoor skating rink at the Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach. “This secluded skating experience is complete with holiday cocktails and bites, theme nights, evenings honoring first responders,” and more. Tickets are valid for 90 minutes of skating. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available online.
4. Skating Under the Stars
Irvine Spectrum Center

From November 5th through January 2nd, 2022, families can take a drive to the Irvine Spectrum Center for the chance to Skate Under the Stars! The popular ice skating rink is located in Giant Wheel Court and is open daily. Thirty-minute skating lessons are also available on Saturdays. Check the website for prices and details.
5. Dodgers Holiday Festival 2021

Dodger Stadium is the site of a Holiday Festival from Friday, November 26th through Friday, December 31st. The Holiday Festival features an ice skating rink, nightly entertainment, light displays, photo opportunities with Santa, holiday-themed food, and more. Tickets are available online.

Drive to Temecula for some ice skating fun! “Temecula on Ice returns with a state-of-the-art ice rink, rental skates, Bobby skating aid and its own radio station playing the best skating music.” The ice rink is open daily from December 9th through January 2nd, 2022 (including Christmas Day and a special New Year Eve’s skate). 7. Ice Skating at Silver Bells Arena

There are so many things to do up at Santa’s Village — cookie decorating, Breakfast with Santa, puppet shows, and ice skating! “You might even catch Santa out there practicing his moves in between visits at his house and workshop.” Skate rentals are included or you can bring your own. Recommended for all ability levels, ages 2 and older. Details are available online, open until January 2nd, 2022.
8. Surf City Winter Wonderland
Huntington Beach Holiday Ice Rink

Huntington Beach is the place for Surf City Winter Wonderland. From November 26th through January 2nd, 2022, families can ice skate “with an unobstructed view of the pier, sand, and sea.” It’s an only-in-Southern California opportunity. Get the cameras ready! 9. First Annual Christmas Tree Skate
The Cube Santa Clarita

The Cube Santa Clarita invites families to participate in their First Annual Christmas Tree Skate. “Enjoy spectacular holiday decorations and Christmas trees taking center ice to create a winter wonderland.” The fun begins on Friday, December 10th with a Christmas Tree Lighting event at 7:00 pm. 10. The Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey

Among the many things to see and do at the new Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey is outdoor ice skating! Also, don’t forget to bring a new, unwrapped toy to participate in the toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots. All details and ticket information is available online.

If you feel like scheduling a little get-away, think about the famous Hotel del Coronado. From November 22nd through January 2nd, 2022, “the iconic resort shimmers and shines as its signature red turrets are draped in thousands of sparkling lights with magical Christmas trees, snowy surprises and garlands galore filling the property with holiday cheer.” Their special Skating by the Sea Package includes overnight accommodations and two passes to The Del’s legendary beachfront ice rink. The City of Santa Ana is hosting Winter Village, a family-friendly holiday attraction, from December 8th through January 2nd, 2022. The festivities include live entertainment as well as an outdoor ice skating rink. Ice skating is offered for ages 3 and up. Space is limited; advance purchase is recommended and can be done online.
