Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. brings the holidays to the downtown district with the grand opening of the Ice at Santa Monica, presented by Netflix skating rink. The beloved ice rink will once again transform the corner of Fifth Street and Arizona Avenue into a winter wonderland, bringing a touch of holiday magic to the beachside community. The rink opens on Friday November 8, 2024 and will be open daily through Monday, January 20, 2025. Check the website for times. There are concessions and party rentals are available. Check the website for special theme nights, including ABBA Disco Night, Holiday Pet Pageant, and Ugly Holiday Sweater, among others.
Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square

The Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square is opening again in Los Angeles! Offering lots of winter fun, it’s the city’s largest outdoor rink, welcoming over 54,000 skaters each year. The rink will be open from November 21st through January 12th, 2025. Tickets are available online and must be purchased in advance.

From November 17th through January 1st, 2025, “the iconic resort shimmers and shines as its signature red turrets are draped in thousands of sparkling lights with magical Christmas trees, snowy surprises and garlands galore filling the property with holiday cheer.”

Drive to Temecula for some ice skating fun! “Temecula on Ice returns with a state-of-the-art ice rink, rental skates, Bobby skating aid, and its own radio station playing the best skating music.” The ice rink is open daily from December 12th through January 5th, 2025, including Christmas Day and a special New Year’s Eve skate. Guests are also welcome to bring their own ice skates.

From November 1st through January 5th, 2025, families can take a drive to the Irvine Spectrum Center for the chance to Skate Under the Stars! The popular ice skating rink is located in Giant Wheel Court and is open daily. Thirty-minute skating lessons are also available on Saturdays. Check the website for prices and details.

Starting Friday, November 24 and running through December 31st, the city’s largest and most popular outdoor ice rink will return to L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles just in time for the holiday season. This year’s rink is proudly presented by Coca-Cola® and supported by Blue Shield of California, CD Law, Mammoth Mountain, Big Bear Mountain Resort, and Los Angeles Department of Water & Power.
The popular Supper & Skate at L.A. LIVE will also return offering special deals at select restaurants for skaters coming to the LA Kings Holiday Ice rink. Before or after their on-ice sessions, fans may present their skate session tickets at participating L.A. LIVE restaurants to redeem special dining offers. Participating restaurants include Fleming’s, Katsuya, Lucky Strike, and Savoca. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar will offer a 10% discount for all skaters on the day that they skate.

The City of Santa Ana is hosting Winter Village, a family-friendly holiday attraction, from December 2nd – 31st, 2023. The festivities include live entertainment as well as an outdoor ice skating rink. A tree lighting ceremony will kick things off on December 2nd, and Santa Claus is coming to town, too. Ice skating is offered for ages 3 and up. Space is limited; advance purchase is recommended and can be done online.
