Summer Day Camps in Los Angeles with Transportation

When choosing a summer camp there are a lot of choices out there, but do you ever wonder, “How will my kids get to Summer Camp?”  Which is why it’s important to keep in mind that several summer day camps have transportation available. We’ve compiled a list of great summer day camps that serve Los Angeles area children and offer transportation.

Cali Camp
1717 Old Topanga Canyon Rd., Topanga, CA 90290

Cali Camp was established in 1955 is designed for children ages 3-15 with “21 acres of creek beds, dramatic rock formations, bamboo forests, old oaks and incredible wildlife in Old Topanga Canyon.” Cali Camp also offers transportation meaning parents don’t need to drive to Topanga for their child’s camp experience. There are different drop-off locations available so families can find the one that is most conveniently located to them.

Aloha Beach Camp

Kids attending Aloha Beach Camp will learn to “surf, boogie board, swim in the ocean, and more.” In fact, this aquatic sports day camp offers more than 200 beach activities with three age-appropriate summer programs (ages 4-7, ages 8-11, and ages 12-14). Additionally, free transportation is included. There are over 20 different meeting points throughout Los Angeles, so you won’t have to drive too far to get your child to camp.

Tumbleweed Day Camp

Days at Tumbleweed Day Camp “are filled with making new friends, exploring nature, trying new things, doing what makes us happy.” Tumbleweed was founded in 1954 and has become so popular that over 1,000 children enroll in their programs each summer. Transportation is included and there are many meeting point locations all around Los Angeles.

Summer of Surf

Summer of Surf is a “surf and beach camp that provides daily transportation to the beach and has been serving Pasadena and neighboring cities for 6 years.” Children participate in a variety of beach activities including surfing, swimming, and boogie-boarding. Three different bus pick-ups are available in Altadena, Pasadena, and South Pasadena.

Camp Summertime
Calamigos Ranch, 327 S. Latigo Canyon Rd., Malibu, CA 90265

Camp Summertime is located on 120 acres which include two ponds and three swimming pools for campers ages 4-14. At Camp Summertime, they “promote each child’s social, emotional, creative and physical development through individual and team activities.” Camp Summertime offers transportation serving Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Newbury Park, parts of Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Malibu, San Fernando Valley, Simi Valley, and Moorpark.

Fitness by the Sea

Fitness by the Sea is designed for children ages 4-14. Campers participate in a variety of water activities including surfing, swimming, knee boarding, and more as well as team sports (soccer, baseball, volleyball), and individual sports (gymnastics, yoga, fencing, and more). So that more children can experience Fitness by the Sea, in 2016 they began offering a transportation option. Three different bus stop options are provided (Westwood, Cheviot Hills, and Hancock Park).

Tocaloma Summer Day Camp

Since 1945, Tocaloma Summer Day Camp has been fostering the adventure of childhood with traditional summer camp full of fun, friends and great activities. Programs for pre-k to through 9th grade include swimming lessons, sports, archery, tennis, drama, nature, arts & crafts and Counselor in Training for older kids. Transportation is offered from Studio City, Beverly Hills, Hancock Park, Westwood and Santa Monica.
