I just confessed over at YvonneInLA about how much I love Wonder Woman. She’s tough, independent, she rocks a bathing suit, and she flies an invisible plane – who could not love her? So you can guess how happy I was to receive this in the mail for National Cereal Day.
It’s a Wonder Woman shopping bag with a few mini DC Comic books featuring Wonder Woman and a box of Cheerios. Because I know many of you are also fans and because March 7 is National Cereal Day, we’re giving away 5 of these Wonder Woman Gift Packs. (You’ll also be glad to know that Cheerios don’t contain GMO’s and they’re made with Whole Grains.) Check out the Rafflecopter below to see the rules of the giveaway.
I was also sent a pack of these gluten-free cereals (Cheerios don’t have gluten listed as an ingredient, but they’re not gluten-free in case you were wondering). There was regular Chex, Vanilla Chex, and Chocolate Chex.
It came with a kit for a cereal party with many cute things including paper hats and fun straws. My boys have been home sick this week so no one was able to rally for a party so I made these Baked Apple and Chex Parfaits that we’ve had for breakfast the last couple of days.
I started by peeling and cutting a large fuji apple. Then I sprinkled cinnamon on top and cooking it on medium high until the apple pieces were soft.
After they cooled, I filled 1/4 of a dessert bowl with vanilla greek yogurt.
Then I layered the apples.
And then the Chex.
Then more yogurt.
My younger son didn’t want the apples so I made him one with blackberries instead of apples.
I had one of each and they were very tasty. There wasn’t a lot of sugar because I didn’t add any to the apples and the plain Chex are lightly sweetened. It was easy, but looked fancy.
Happy National Cereal Day!
I was not compensated for this post. However, I did receive the items mentioned above. All opinions are my own especially how much I love Wonder Woman and cereal.
