Hospitals are there for us whether we’re having a baby or have an emergency. We need hospitals both for good times and serious times, and it’s important to know what our options are.
Depending on your Health Insurance plan, you may want to use only certain hospitals, based on how well they reimburse and cover your expenses. Or you may follow your physician’s advice on which hospital to choose, based on where they have privileges.
This is especially true when you’re having a baby. Families often deliver their babies where their OB/Gyn has a standing practice, and from then on may choose that hospital for emergencies and other care in the future.
Another reason to choose a specific hospital is based on the types of screening and testing systems they have. Some have MRI machines in house, CT scanners, and other radiological scanners.
There are many Hospitals in the SoCal region for you to choose from. We’ve made a list of 20+ in different parts of town. You’ll need to contact them to check whether they accept your health insurance, and whether any of your preferred doctors work there.
