About the Nethercutt Museum and Collection

The Nethercutt Museum and Collection are the end result of a passion for collecting cars and a passion for history on the part of the Nethercutt family. Having made their fortune with the Merle Norman cosmetics line, they were able to spend considerable time and money on those passions.

Mr. and Mrs Nethercutt started collecting in 1956 and by 1971 they decided to open the collection to the public.

The Museum is filled with many vintage vehicles, including countless luxury cars, and also a few specialty vehicles, like a fire engine, a locomotive and Pullman car, and a camper.

While there is no dining facility or picnicking area on site, there is ample free parking at their facility.

Besides vehicles, you’ll also find a large collection of antique car parts, like hood ornaments and horns.

The Museum welcomes visitors of any age, but some younger kids may get frustrated when faced with the “no touching” rules, because this museum is not like the Petersen Museum, which has a section designated for kids, and allows people (of any age) to touch the life size model of Lightning McQueen on display.

You know your kids best, so we recommend you decide first if you think it would be a challenge for them to visit the Nethercutt and not be able to touch the cars.
