Skiing and Snowboarding are super fun Winter sports that we can do within a couple of hours’ drive from LA, but if it’s not something we do all the time, we may not all be experts. In fact, it’s a great idea to find a place to take lessons, both for our kids and ourselves, so we can spend more time skiing and less time falling.

“Your Personal Ski Slope,” the equipment at Sky Tech Sport lets you train to ski and snowboard in virtual reality, right in Hollywood. Used by members of the US Ski and Snowboarding teams, this method looks like it would be a ton of fun, whether or not you’re an elite athlete.

Virtual Snow Training Center

Founded by World Ski Champion Bob Salerno, Virtual Snow provides Ski and Snowboard instruction on snow simulators in a controlled indoor environment. They offer both Ski and Snowboard lessons and advanced training, year-round, for all levels and ages.

Big Bear Mountain Resort

Big Bear can tailor private lessons for kids of any age, but the bulk of their lessons are for kids ages 4 and up. They also offer adaptive lessons, and for the adventurous – Night lessons! Mammoth Mountain
