It’s A Wonderful Life
Egyptian Theatre

Your family can view the classic holiday film, It’s a Wonderful Life, at the Egyptian Theatre on Friday, December 23rd. Frank Capra’s film stars James Stewart and Henry Travers as the angel Clarence. The movie starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are available online. (The film is rated PG and runs for just over 2 hours).

North Pole Nights at the Big Stick

Families are invited to a very special event at the Battleship IOWA on Friday, December 23rd. From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, families can “stroll through an illuminated North Pole Village on the deck of the historic Battleship,” experience a special interactive tour, send off a letter to Santa at the North Pole and soldiers overseas, visit with Santa, and more. In addition, refreshments will be available for purchase. And don’t forget to have some fun at the Los Angeles Kings Holiday Ice Rink. Check the website for fees.

Family Snow Day

Families can come out to Valencia for some fun in the snow. The festivities are planned for Saturday, December 24th from 1:00 pm to 4:15 pm with the special Snow Play Area available from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission includes play time in the Snow Play Area (in tennis shoes, no skates), a large skating area for ice skating, hot cocoa, and a meet and greet with Frosty the Snowman. Families can even bring their own sleds and snow toys.

Annual Chanukah Bowl

You can celebrate the Festival of Lights and bowl all at the same time at the Chanukah Bowl happening on Sunday, December 25th from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Festivities include tasty latkes, bowling, menorah lighting, and more. You can RSVP online for an $8 fee or pay $10 at the door.

Hooray for Chanukah
Pretend City Children’s Museum
29 Hubble, Irvine, CA 92618

Pretend City will help you celebrate Chanukah all week long, beginning on Saturday, December 24th and ending December 30th. (The Museum is closed on Christmas Day). Children will be learning about the holiday through games, art, songs, and more. Check the website for a list of different activities planned for each day.
