13th Annual Earth Day Event
Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market

On Sunday, April 17th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the City of Beverly Hills invites families to its annual Earth Day Celebration being held at the weekly Farmers’ Market. This free event includes information about water conservation and earthquake preparedness, a paper shredding event, free gardening compost (while supplies last), arts and crafts, face painting, stories, and more.

Earth Day Celebration at Santa Monica Pier Aquarium

Heal the Bay is hosting a special Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 16th. From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, there will be a special beach clean-up activity. From 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, the Aquarium is hosting a day of hands-on activities and demonstrations designed for the whole family.

If San Pedro is closer for your family, then head on over to the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium on Saturday, April 16th. From 8:00 am to 10:00 am, families can participate in a beach clean-up. Then, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Aquarium will be hosting an Earth Day Fair complete with arts and crafts, information from environmental agencies, a guided bird walk, and more.

The STAR Eco Station is hosting their 16th Annual Children’s Earth Day event on Sunday, April 17th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This free event features student performances, face painting, hands-on activities, exotic wildlife, celebrity guests, and more. Last year, this popular event had more than 30,000 people in attendance!

LAUSD Grand Arts Festival
Grand Park

Your family is invited to a free community event at Grand Park on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. More than 3,000 Los Angeles Unified School District students will have their creative art work on display (including musical, visual, dance, theater, and film). In addition, food trucks will be on hand as well as the opportunity to make your own art.

7th Annual Milk + Bookies Story Time Celebration
California Market Center
110 E. 9th St., Los Angeles, CA 90079

The 7th Annual Milk + Bookies Story Time event is happening on Sunday, April 17th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event features celebrity readers, a scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, a bookstore, snacks (including milk and cookies), and more. Tickets are available online.

This weekend-long event will be held at the Museum of Flying on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday April 17th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. Families will have the chance to view (and purchase) the wares from more than 100 local artisans. In addition, there will be live music, food, arts and crafts for kids, and free admission to the Museum of Flying!
