Just in time for spring, Home Depot stores are hosting a Kids Workshop on Saturday, April 7th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Children will build a window birdhouse and decorate it with paint and stickers. All attendees also receive a free certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin (while supplies last). Register online to reserve your child’s spot.

During your visit, families can learn about the art of printmaking and will be guided through the process of creating their own silkscreen printed poster. Families can also enjoy a guided tour of the Museum’s exhibits and listen to story time in the Silk Road Gallery.
Sunday Studio: Matt Lipps: The Power (Struggle) of Images

MOCA Grand Avenue hosts a Sunday Studio on Sunday, April 8th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This free, drop-in event features Los Angeles-based artist Matt Lipps who will “lead a workshop to make two- and three-dimensional photo collages.” This program is designed for all ages and all experience levels. The event also includes family-friendly tours of the museum, music, Toddler Town, and more.
The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium hosts two family-friendly events on Saturday, April 7th. From 8:00 am to 10:00 am, families can participate in a Beach Cleanup. And then from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, families can enjoy the Cabrillo Art Corner, an opportunity to work on an ocean-themed project. The events are free and open to all ages.

The Fair will showcase “handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, cards, prints, paintings, drawings and photography.” A fundraising raffle will also be held, with all proceeds supporting the arts programs at Barnsdall Arts Center. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance online.
El Museo de Tronquito: Bilingual Reading and Art Workshop
