Big Bunny’s Weekend at Spring Fling

Celebrate spring and Easter at the L.A. Zoo with many fun activities and visits from Big Bunny during two weekends in April: April 13 and 14 and April 19, 20, and 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Activities include seed-planting crafts, face painting, live entertainment, photo opportunities, the chance to learn about real bunnies, and much more. All activities are included with Zoo admission except photos with the “Big Bunny.”

Celebrate Easter in Downtown Los Angeles on Easter Sunday, April 21st from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 20,000 eggs will be hidden (several egg hunts will happen with children grouped by age). Kids will also enjoy face painting, bounce houses, arts and crafts, music, food, and more. Admission is $6 per person (children 2 and younger are free) or $30 per family (up to 7 people). Tickets are available online, and it is strongly recommended to pre-purchase tickets as they are expected to sell-out. A portion of the proceeds goes to help homeless families in Skid Row. 

Blessing of the Animals

The Blessing of the Animals is an annual tradition that has been celebrated here since 1930. On the Saturday before Easter (April 20th), families are invited to bring their pets to be blessed. In addition there will be live musical entertainment, a petting zoo, pony rides, food, and fun. The blessing begins at 2:00 pm (with a line forming at 1:00 pm), and entertainment is scheduled from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 

Hornblower Cruises Easter Brunch and Supper Cruises

Celebrate Easter Sunday on a Hornblower Cruise. They are offering brunch cruises at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm as well as a dinner cruise at 5:30 pm. Brunch cruises are 2 hours in length, the dinner cruise is 3 hours, and both include entertainment photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, and views of the Marina del Rey Harbor. Easter Springtime Festival

Underwood Family Farms hosts its annual Easter Springtime Festival beginning on Saturday, March 30th and continuing until Monday, April 22nd. The Festival includes many fun activities including a tractor-drawn wagon ride, lots of fun photo opportunities, a giant haystack, games and races, and much more. Certain activities (such as pony rides, face painting, and the moon bounce) require additional tickets. Certain shows only happen on the weekends as well. Festival Hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. Weekday admission is $8, weekend admission is $12, and Easter Weekend Admission (April 19, April 20, April 21) is $12. Children under 2 are free. 

Egg-ceptional Celebration!
Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden
301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA 91007

The L.A. Arboretum invites families to its Egg-ceptional Celebration on Saturday, April 20th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Children 10 and younger can participate in egg hunts (with baskets being provided). There will also be make-and-take activities, refreshments, an egg scramble, and more. Cost is $5 per child plus admission to the Arboretum. 

Easter Sunday Brunch
The Queen Mary

The Queen Mary is offering an Easter Sunday champagne brunch on Sunday, April 21st from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In addition, the Queen Mary will have several family-friendly Easter activities from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm including a petting zoo, balloon twisting, games, face painting, and an Easter Egg Hunt. Brunch is $69 for adults, and children 4-11 are $24. Check the website for details and to make a reservation.

Malibu Bluffs Park is the site of “Spring Hoppening” taking place on Friday, April 5th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This special event features lots of fun including carnival games, face painting, egg hunts, food trucks, and more. You can purchase a $5 event pass or donate art supplies (such as new crayons, markers, paint brushes) and receive one complimentary event pass.

The city of Simi Valley hosts its egg hunt on Saturday, April 20th at 9:00 am. This free event is designed for children 10 and younger. Children will be grouped by age to search for the eggs. Don’t forget to bring a basket from home. Families are also encouraged to bring a canned or non-perishable food item to donate to benefit The Samaritan Center of Simi Valley.

The City of Agoura Hills invites families to its Breakfast with the Bunny on Saturday, April 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Children will enjoy spring crafts, egg hunts, games, light breakfast refreshments, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Admission is $2 per person and free for children younger than 2.

Kidspace Children’s Museum is hosting a special egg hunt on Saturday, April 13th and Saturday, April 20th. At different times on each day, children of different ages will search for hundreds of candy-filled plastic eggs. Families will also create spring art, learn the bunny hop, and much more. Don’t forget to bring your own basket from home. Pre-registration is required for all children and is available online. (Museum admission is not included in the egg hunt). 

The Bunny Trail Jr. Egg Hunt

Children eight and younger are invited to the Bunny Trail Junior Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Eggs will be hidden along a trail and while children search, they’ll also enjoy face painting, crafts, a petting zoo, and time with the Easter Bunny. Cost is $3 per child. Tickets must be pre-purchased at Juan Bautista de Anza Park. 

Spring Eggstravaganza

Garfield Park is hosting its annual Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 20th from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. The fun annual event includes pictures with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, food, games, inflatables, and more. Tickets are available online for $6 per child or on sale at the event for $8 per child. Children of different ages will hunt for eggs at different times — check the website for a schedule.

Easter Lunch Train

Celebrate Easter on a train! The Fillmore and Western Railway Company presents its Easter Lunch on Sunday, April 21st. The train departs at 12:00 pm and returns at 3:00 pm. The Easter Bunny will visit while families dine and enjoy the “scenic ride through Heritage Valley.” Reservations are required. (Check the website for the menu). Adults are $50 each, children 4-12 are $29, children 2-3 are $25, and babies 23 months and younger are free.

VIP Bunny Brunch and Spring Festival

Families are invited to the Rose Bowl on Saturday, April 20th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for its VIP Bunny Brunch & Egg Bowl. Enjoy brunch in the Rose Bowl Stadium Club Lounge, including pictures with the Bunny and storytelling, and then head to the field for an egg hunt! Tickets are available online. $22 for ages 15+; $14 for children ages 4-14; and free for children 3 and younger with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza will be held at Recreation Park from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and features music, appearances from the Easter Bunny, and egg hunts. At 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, head to The Plunge for the annual Underwater Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza. Space is limited so be sure to register early to reserve your space. Cost is $7 for participants int he Underwater  Egg Hunt.
