Blessing of the Animals

The Blessing of the Animals is an annual tradition that has been celebrated here on Olvera Street since 1930. On the Saturday before Easter (March 30th) from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, families are invited to bring their special animals to be blessed. “Whether they live on land, in water, or fly in trees, all animals are welcome to receive a blessing from Archbishop Jose Gomez.” The festivities also include live musical entertainment, food, and fun. Check the website for information about street closures to make your arrival easier.

2024 Easter Eggstravaganza

The 2024 Easter Eggstravaganza is happening on Saturday, March 30th from 10 am to 1 pm. This free community event features arts and crafts, visits with the Easter Bunny, food trucks, live music, vendors, and more. Additionally, from March 23rd to March 29th, families are invited to participate in The Big Egg Hunt at multiple parks beforehand. The Community Services Department of South Pasadena is hosting its Annual Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 30th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The fun includes inflatables, games, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and egg hunts. Ticket information is available online.
Santa Anita Park Spring Carnival

Santa Anita Park is hosting a four-day Spring Carnival on Saturday, March 30th (11:00 am to 7:00 pm) and Sunday, March 31st (10:00 am to 7:00 pm) as well as Saturday, April 6th (8:00 am to 7:00 pm), and Sunday, April 7th (11:00 am to 7:00 pm). This special event features carnival games and rides, inflatable jumpers, pony rides, arts and crafts, face painting, and more. Springtime Easter Festival 2024

Underwood Family Farms is hosting its Springtime Easter Festival event beginning on Saturday, March 16th and continuing through Sunday, April 7th (from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily). The festivities include many fun activities including tractor-drawn wagon rides, lots of fun photo opportunities, an animal show on weekends, Trike Trail, Harvester Slide, snap-your-own-pictures with the Easter Bunny, and much more. Other activities are also available for an extra fee such as egg-dying, animal petting areas, train rides, and more. Weekend entry requires on-line tickets. Photos with the Bunny and Spring Scavenger Hunt
The Collection at RiverPark

Spring has sprung at The Collection at RiverPark. From March 15th to March 30th, bring the family and take your picture with the shopping center’s fluffy Spring Bunny. A variety of photo packages are available for purchase. (Visits with the Spring Bunny are available on a first-come, first-served basis.)
And, from March 1st to March 30th, families can pick up a special scavenger hunt from Guest Services and then begin their adventure. Families are encouraged to complete the scavenger hunt and find at least 15 spring items, and then they’ll be entered to win a fun surprise.
The Bunny Museum

At The Bunny Museum, it’s all bunnies all year long. The Museum was founded in 1993 and currently houses more than 45,000 “bunny works of art from antiquity to contemporary art.” The Museum, also known as “The Hoppiest Place on Earth,” is open Monday-Saturday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and on Sundays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. (Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and military with ID; $8 for children up to 13 years old; free for children 4 and under.) No reservations are needed.
A Special Visit with Caring Bunny

In addition, an Inclusive Egg Scramble is happening on Friday, March 29th from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. “This is a sensory event for individuals with developmental and/or other disabilities, who may not be able to participate in the Saturday scramble.” Pre-registration for the Inclusive Egg Scramble is required and is available online. A Victorian Easter Egg Hunt
