Description:

After School Enrichment Program at Golden Key Art offers academic preparation, tutoring and creative activities. Special attention is given to your child’s homework, and private tutoring can be provided as needed. Our student’s success is our success: Up to 70% of our students have been evaluated as gifted or highly gifted by their schools after attending our program.

Pickup from school, home-made meals and art classes are included. We believe that creative thinking goes helps with academic success, and we offer a well balanced schedule designed for your child’s needs. Your child will enjoy safe environment with playground and time to relax in our family-owned business.

Monday-Friday
12:30 pm – 6:00 pm (pick up time varies per school)
Individual days and weeks options are available

Full time: $160 per week
Part time: $40 per day
Siblings discount: $25 per child per week
Art materials fee: $50 per semester (optional)
Meals and 1 hour art lesson are included.

LA Conservation Corps After School Program

Type: Academic, Homework Club

Description:

The Los Angeles Conservation Corps provides their After School Program at 13 middle schools and 3 elementary schools. The program begins immediately after dismissal and is offered until 6:00 pm. Children are provided with tutoring, academic enrichment, and are able to choose among a variety of special activities in which to participate including performing arts, creative arts, sports, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).

Description:

The Department of Parks and Recreation offers after-school programs at parks throughout southern California. (You can check the website for a listing of participating sites). Students are given healthy snacks, offered homework assistance, and have the chance to participate in a variety of activities.

LA’s Best After School Enrichment Program

Type: Homework Club

Description:

LA’s Best describes its program as having three core elements — homework help, a learning activity to boost reading and/or math skills, and an activity that is new and fun for kids. Over the years, their program has expanded to include fitness, arts, and more. LA’s BEST provides services at 194 elementary schools.

Description:

The Police Activities League is a youth crime prevention program. Participants are involved with a variety of educational, athletic, and recreational activities that help strengthen the bond between police officers, youngsters, and their community. Description:

Originally founded in 1944, The Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club offers a variety of after-school programs for students. Homework assistance, “The STEM Adventure,” fine arts, and much more are offered. Check the website to find a location.

Description:

Check with your neighborhood public library regarding after school programs. Most offer special study zones so that students can work on their homework assignments in a quiet, focused environment. Additionally, many public libraries host a variety of after-school activities including those geared towards STEAM lessons and more.
