Baseball season is here! If you’re interested in signing your little one up for softball or little league, please check out these different leagues and districts all over Los Angeles!
Kids can get started as young as 4 years old, and both girls and boys can play. Most kids start with T-Ball and move into pitching as they gain skills. Parents are usually encouraged to be part of the team by volunteering with snack bar duties and maintaining the fields.

West 25 District (West LA)

District 25 is comprised of 9 little leagues in West Los Angeles, including Malibu, Santa Monica, Culver City, North Venice, Beverly Hills, West LA, Culver Marina, Ladera, and University. North Venice Little League (Part of West 25 District)

Founded over 60 years ago, North Venice Little League’s “objective is to teach the children of our community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, teamwork, and the respect of authority, so that they become well-adjusted, stronger and happier children who grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.” This tight knit community is a wonderful place to get started this season. T-Ball begins for ages 4 and up!

West Los Angeles Little League (Part of West 25 District)

WLALL has both baseball (ages 4 and up) and softball (ages 6 and up) divisions. Evaluations happen in January; Practices run from January 22 to 29; Games begin February 3 to the end of the season on May 5; and Summer All Start Tournament begins May 6. University Little League (Part of West 25 District)

ULL is a nationally chartered little league and LA’s only inner-city program. Girls softball and co-ed little league available for kids 4 and up. Games begin in September and are played every Sunday.

El Segundo Little League

Spring opening day this year begins February 14, 2024! Early bird registration began in October, but check out their site for late sign-ups and more information on the various teams/leagues your child can join.
Hollywood Indies

A large south central league, H.I.L.L. is one of the biggest little league programs in Los Angeles. Sponsored by the Los Angeles Dodgers, there are a number of really cool opportunities for players to go to games and meet with select players/organization members.
Redondo Beach Little League

Westchester Del Rey Little League Softball

Recognized champions multiple years in a row, this is an incredible league to be a part of. Eligibility for a team is based on age/date of birth and there are various leagues for little ones ages 4-16. The Girls 14-16 season closes at the end of March 2024.
YMCA Metropolitan Los Angeles

Cheviot Hills PONY Baseball

P.O.N.Y. stands for Protect Our Nation’s Youth. There are several P.O.N.Y. leagues in Los Angeles (Beverly Hills, Century City, Santa Monica and Culver City). This is a slightly different league so if you’d like more information about it, please check on the link above! Opening day begins February 24th!
District 18 Little League (South Pasadena)
Locations Vary
South Pasadena are previous state champion winners! Their spring season and opening days are in March. Contact them as soon as possible if you’re interested in joining their league! Softball and Baseball both start at 4 years and up.
West Region (San Bernadino)

Ladera Little League offers a number of teams for all ages! Tee ball begins at age 4 while softball begins at age 5. See their site for which age/team fits your child.
North Valley Little League

A P.O.N.Y. (Protect Our Nations Youth) baseball league in Granada Hills, NVLL is for boys and girls ages 3 and up. This league boasts a private field that is safe and well maintained for its players.
East Valley Baseball

This league is connected with 11 teams in the Valley. East Valley Baseball is for kids ages 3-16. Registration and games can run all year long, so check out their site for the upcoming registration and season dates.
