E3 2012. You might think it’s only for hard-core gamers and developers, but that’s just not true. Even the casual gaming fan can find something of interest. For example, Yvonne Condes and I are interested in fitness, and while you might think video games are the antithesis of exercise, there are actually lots of games and game systems that support and encourage movement.
Nintendo started the “get off the couch” movement in 2006 with the introduction of the Wii. The Wii controller gets you up and forces you to move to play the games. The new generation Wii U will take that movement to a new level when it launches (no date set). The Wii U connects with the Wii Fit Balance Board and unlocks a whole new way to get you moving. The Luge game Yvonne tried out is a serious core workout, as you can tell from the video!
Oh wait, I guess that’s not the point.
