Friday, July 12 through Sunday, July 14- Kidspace Celebrates the 1st Anniversary of the Galvin Physics Forest 

The three day celebration will include  live performances from children’s performer, Riff Rockit, on Friday, July 12, The Wildlife Learning Center, on Saturday, July 13, as well as local dance ensemble, Kids of Rock Theatre, and Radio Disney on Sunday, July 14. Each day of the celebration will highlight a different aspect of physics with themed activities and demonstrations; Friday will focus on the physics of heroic action, Saturday the physics of nature, and Sunday the physics of creativity

Outdoor movie 3rd Street

Friday, July 12 – Outdoor Movie Series on 3rd St. promenade 

Downtown Santa Monica is excited to present “Cinema on the Street”series of summertime movies! Come and unwind in an outdoor setting under the stars July 12th“Back to the Future”. There will be pre-show comedy performances and give aways so show up early.

Where: Third Street Promenade, between Wilshire Blvd. and Arizona Ave. (just outside of Chipotle)

When: 7:30 PM Time subject to change depending on sunset

Grease hollywood bowl

Saturday, July 13 – Grease Sing-A-Long

Now a Bowl tradition, the Grease Sing-A-Long returns with fun-filled pre-show festivities and the much-loved movie on the Bowl’s giant screen. Special added attraction this year: SHA NA NA (who played Johnny Casino and the Gamblers in the movie) will perform live before the sing-a-long. Grease is the word!

Eat See Hear

Saturday, July 13 – “Christmas in July” with a Special Screening of “Elf”

Eat|See|Hear, presents “Christmas in July” featuring the film “Elf,” starring Will Ferrell. The event will be complete with a Christmas tree, holiday decorations, and a tropical Santa Claus. There will be gifts under the Christmas tree and guests (and their dogs) are encouraged to dress in holiday attire and will also have the opportunity to get into the “holiday spirit” by bringing canned goods, used blankets and towels donations to official charity partner, Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles, while enjoying live entertainment and great food from some of the city’s favorite gourmet food trucks.

Sunday, July 14 – Bastille Day Festival

Bastille Day is the French national holiday that celebrates independence and freedom, and commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison on July 14, 1789. Angelinos will join in the celebration of Bastille Day and the spirit of Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité with French gastronomic delicacies and live entertainment. Join in the fun and experience what tens of thousands of people have been enjoying for the past decade, making this annual celebration one of the most well-attended community festivals in Los Angeles.
