Dino Encounters offers home school families, school enrichment programs and camp providers with a unique hands on, NGSS aligned expedition kit. Staff will have everything needed to provide five full days of engaging and educational activities. Students will work in groups of four and over the course of a week create a model of the Earth and its core, sculpt and make erupt a volcano, study the sedimentary process and learn the four main types of fossils and how they are formed, handle real fossil examples and learn how to identify them, the anatomy of a trilobite, invertebrates and vertebrates, the differences between a mammal, reptile and dinosaur, the role environment played in species adaptation, the four main extinction events and meet and interact with 26 different dinosaurs using our mobile app, Dino Encounters Augmented Reality Dinosaur Zoo.
At the end of the week, students will have completed their own Mesozoic Diorama complete with recreating the environment and placing in it an authentic sniffing, stomping, roaring dinosaur!
