Our West Los Angeles community campus is focused on early childhood education offering Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Transitional Kindergarten programs. Stratford’s hands-on learning approach cultivates a child’s natural curiosity and wonder inspiring children to become creative problem-solvers, imaginative innovators, and confident leaders.

The Center for Early Education, a socio-economically and culturally diverse independent school for children, toddlers through grade six, strives to graduate students who are joyful, resilient, life-long learners. The Center embraces a philosophy of education that combines a nurturing, inclusive learning environment with an increasingly challenging academic program that addresses the developmental needs of each child.
While most students enter The Center in the Toddler program, Early Childhood 1 “EC1” (the first year of preschool), or Kindergarten, we welcome applications at all grade levels! The 2021-22 application for all grade levels is open online now.
The IKAR ECC offers a developmental, play-based program infused with Judaic and social justice curricula. Our program embraces commitments to Judaic learning; an intro to conversational, liturgical, and written Hebrew; Reggio Emilia-inspired emergent learning; our partnership with the community of Katira, Uganda; and the practice of Tikkun Olam (taking care of the earth). We offer half day and full day options and are open to children ages 2-5. Families do not need to be Jewish to attend. We are open and operating safely and joyfully under strict COVID protocols.
