Join our team of naturalists and ecologists for a five days adventure at Channel Islands National Park. Explore the national park from a whole new perspective. Snorkeling expansive kelp reefs, swimming amongst sea lions, kayaking and swimming through some of the world’s largest sea caves, surfing sand dunes, fishing, studying topography, and ecology of the islands and three gourmet meals a day. Visiting Santa Cruz, San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Barbara, and Anacapa Islands!

Taking place on a custom-built expedition vessel, this micro version of a semester at sea is the perfect ratio of adventure to learning, resulting in a respect and adoration for the marine environment that lasts a lifetime. Campers return with knowledge about island ecology, marine biology, geography, astronomy, resource conservation, and seamanship, all gained from their time aboard.

Camp Half-Blood is a mythology-based adventure camp program for rising 2nd-9th graders inspired by Rick Riordan’s renowned series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Each week of the program follows its own unique story arc as campers explore different mythologies from around the world. Demigods spend each day learning teamwork, building confidence, and showing off their creativity through hero training activities including sword fighting, solving puzzles, scavenging, mythological trivia, forging arms and armor, and competing in Olympic games. Campers choose from a variety of activities in real-time including, sewing, stop-motion animation, music, coding, sports & rec, makers crafts, baking, & more. They’ll decide what they want to do, and for how long.

This summer families can buy as many days as they’d like, and use them at any time. No weekly reservations required–just show up! Or, if you need more care, purchase a Summer Pass, which covers the whole season. If for any reason your plans change, they’ll automatically refund any unused Passes in full at summer’s end.

Exploration Day Camp
For children entering grades 1-7
This summer, we are offering weekly themed, five-day sessions. Choose from as many or as few weeks as you need. Each week will focus on different weekly themed activities, arts and crafts, science, and outdoor play. Children have the opportunity to spend time playing and exploring with friends outdoors and participate in creative and stimulating indoor activities and clubs. Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) students are welcome to join the Caltech site mid-day.
