Students 14-17 years old participate in a series of workshops and critiques led by CalArts faculty and alumni, attend artist talks and screenings, explore methods and spend time in the studio developing skills and making art.
Residential students will live in Chouinard Hall, CalArts’ BFA dorms, and both residential and commuter students will be able to participate in daily activities such as film screenings, games in the recreation hall or open swim in the CalArts pool. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a field trip to Disneyland for an additional fee. All levels welcome to apply.
Over night summer camp located in beautiful Angelus Oaks, just south of Big Bear. We offer 1- and 2- week options for boys & girls, age 5-16. With a traditional setting and activities, such as archery, paintball, high ropes & swimming, kids will also get to pick their own exciting field trip to attend. With bus transportation included in the price of camp, come experience six days, five nights of camping. Program options include learning how to ride horses, conquering the ropes course, canoeing in our pond (older girls on Big Bear Lake), zip lining, sleeping under the stars, and much more!
Camp Lakota- Frazier Park
Individual older girls (high school) come join us for a traditional six-day, five-night tent-camping experience.

Join Kidspace Children’s Museum for Kidspace Camp! Adventure, explore, and investigate to learn, create memories, and make new friends. 3, 2, 1… Launch into spring! Come join us in taking a closer look at what space shuttles need to launch and what astronauts go through in order to go into space. We’ll learn about how astronauts prepare themselves for space travel, what type of training is needed, and take a closer look at how shuttles are built using activities developed in collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Outdoor Journeys is a non-profit youth development organization which operates a residential camp program, Camp Nawakwa, near Angelus Oaks, California. It is our mission to inspire individuals, through education and engagement, to connect with the natural world.
Camp Nawakwa offers Summer Camp sessions during the summer season and Family Camps throughout the year. Activities included in each camp session include: Archery, Rock Climbing, Tomahawks, Slingshot Paintball, Arts & Crafts, Swimming, Canoeing, Fishing, Outdoor Living Skills, Nature, Teambuilding, Hiking, Drama, and Evening Programs.
