For rising 4th and 5th grade students, Girls in Charge offers week-long thematic programs rooted in creative play and exploration. Students will dive into a variety of imaginative projects culminating in a celebration and showcase of student work.

For rising 6th-8th grade students, Girls in Action is an exciting and varied program that offers week-long experiences in a variety of disciplines. Opera Camp is an enriching two-week program where you will develop your artistic abilities in an intense, fun-filled experience, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.* At the end of camp, students will perform a fully-staged opera in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, inspired by the stories of our unique communities.

The best way to grow is to perform a show! That’s been our motto every summer at Mixon Musical Theatre Day Camp as we create a Theatrical Production with your children. Our campers spend their day acting, singing, dancing, designing sets, and managing props – with additional instruction in aerial silks, visual arts construction, plus mindfulness meditation and yoga. All these combine to create a beautiful show and an exciting growth experience for your youngsters. Because we incorporate technical theatre elements, ALL children have the chance to create and take pride in many aspects of the process. Our 3 weeks of rehearsal culminate in a performance of “MATILDA the Musical” on the final 2 days of camp. Come have fun and learn together as we use the business of show to help your kids grow!
