Since its inception, SOCAPA has quickly become one of the premier visual and performing arts programs for young people in the world. Our students travel from across the United States and all corners of the globe to participate in our Summer Camps & Intensives in the Arts. Join Archer Summer for a summer of imagination and enrichment led by an expert faculty.

Archer’s summer program for girls ignites creativity, inspires risk-taking, and builds valuable leadership skills. Engage in real world challenges, make new friends, and experience Archer’s joyful culture, which celebrates the possibility of every girl.

For rising 4th and 5th grade students, Girls in Charge offers week-long thematic programs rooted in creative play and exploration. Students will dive into a variety of imaginative projects culminating in a celebration and showcase of student work.

For rising 6th-8th grade students, Girls in Action is an exciting and varied program that offers week-long experiences in a variety of disciplines. Students will choose four different workshops each week from a variety of offerings, including Humanities, STEM, and Performing & Visual Arts. Counselor-led activities will be held in between workshops and during lunch to create space for new friendships and fun.

Camp Wildfolk is a child-centered day camp with two locations in Valley Village and West Hollywood. Wildfolk is project-based and truly unique- offering a balanced blend of structure and choice, with activities campers go wild for.
The spirit infused throughout camp feels “old school,” yet grounded in a mindful and intentional way of supporting and guiding children. Camp Wildfolk’s caring, silly, and wildly fun Guides are often cited as the #1 reason campers return year after year.
They offer a variety of programs to tailor many age groups- all within each camp. Their main camp hosts 1st-7th graders with exciting electives and teambuilding opportunities. Their specialized Young Folks program for rising Pre-K, TK, and Kinders sells-out early every year. The Guides-in-Training (GIT) program offers leadership opportunities for tweens and teens (7th-10th grade). AN UNFORGETTABLE SUMMER OPERA EXPERIENCE

Join Opera Camp and let our teaching artists help you find your voice. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary. You just have to want to express yourself through music.

Opera Camp is an enriching two-week program where you will develop your artistic abilities in an intense, fun-filled experience, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.* At the end of camp, students will perform a fully-staged opera in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, inspired by the stories of our unique communities.

Week 1: July 22-26 (Monday through Friday)
Week 2: July 29-August 3 (Monday through Saturday)

There will be coaching sessions for some performers before camp begins – dates and times TBA
*Some rehearsals may run until 4pm.

Opera Camp is open to students ages 9-17.
We ask that all campers sign up for an audition so that we can get to know you (details in application).
Tuition: $1,000 per student for the two-week program. Limited need-based scholarships are available – please see the details in the sign-up form.
Upon acceptance, tuition will be due no later than one week before camp begins.

The best way to grow is to perform a show! That’s been our motto every summer at Mixon Musical Theatre Day Camp as we create a Theatrical Production with your children. Our campers spend their day acting, singing, dancing, designing sets, and managing props – with additional instruction in aerial silks, visual arts construction, plus mindfulness meditation and yoga. All these combine to create a beautiful show and an exciting growth experience for your youngsters. Because we incorporate technical theatre elements, ALL children have the chance to create and take pride in many aspects of the process. Our 3 weeks of rehearsal culminate in a performance of “MATILDA the Musical” on the final 2 days of camp. Come have fun and learn together as we use the business of show to help your kids grow!

You’ll have access to state-of-the-art classrooms, outstanding athletic facilities, and nurturing staff who are ready to make your summer unforgettable. Young People’s Camp
Starts Monday, July 15 2024 and runs Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays for three weeks, Young People’s Camp introduces your young child to the imaginative world of Shakespeare and classical theatre.

Starts Monday, June 17, 2024, and runs Monday-Friday for two weeks. Students ages 8-14 work with expert teaching artists will to explore a Shakespeare play, culminating in a share celebrating all they’ve learned.
