Art Around the World Camp with Heroes and Villains

Type: Art & Nature, Arts & Crafts, Arts Education, Creative, Day Camp, Design, Fashion, Maker, Mindfulness, Music, Nature, Paint Ball, Science, Teen, Traditional, Visual Arts

Description:

RAZ Summer Art Camps are simulated tours that explore new cultures through the lens of story. Each week, campers “visit” 1 of the 7 continents and discover the classic myths and stories, along with the heroes and villains, that make up each culture. Every continent opens up a world of stories, fashion, music, and dance and inspires the week’s projects, activities and field trips. Guided by degreed professional teachers, children paint, draw, sculpt and build up to 4 projects in a day. In a full week, kids make a gallery of up to 12 art projects!

Our 2023 summer program is designed to unite art and storytelling while teaching important life lessons. By encouraging story building capabilities, campers learn how to channel their own inner heroes and villains into healthy forms of expression. Campers also expand their world view with activities that incorporate fun facts about geography, history, and social studies.

RAZ Art Day Camps are some of the best in-person kids activities and events near Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles. Kids aged 5-16 get creative all day 9:30 am – 3 pm, M-F. Wednesdays are field trips.

Counselor in Training (CIT) program offers opportunities for Teens to gain skills and techniques for making art projects. Teens have fun in a positive environment while helping others.

Description:

Camp del Corazon Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit corporation, providing a free of charge, medically supervised, residential summer camp for children ages 7-17 who are living with heart disease as well as additional programs for these children and their families. All proceeds are spent on the camp, and its programming, and we are staffed entirely by volunteers.

We offer our camping program free-of-charge, as the families affected by this disease already incur incredible financial burdens from medical bills and often have to seek private or home schooling due to the numerous doctors’ appointments and hospital stays these children require.

We also provide an environment that offers support and self-esteem building and socialization that these children do not otherwise have access to. Impact of camp studies prove that camp helps to strengthen the confidence and self-esteem of children and your support will give these very special children life-altering experiences that cannot be put into words. As a testament to the impact the camp has on these young souls, most return year after year to relive experiences they can get nowhere else.

Camp del Corazon provides camp magic to kids with heart disease. Share our camp with your friends and family, and together we can make a difference in these children’s lives.
