Girls in Charge, Girls in Action, and Girls on Stage

Girls in Charge

Our week-long thematic programs for girls entering grades 4-5 are rooted in creative play and exploration. Students will dive into a variety of imaginative projects that will culminate in a celebration and showcase of student work. Even though we will be working from home, we will collaborate and join our creative efforts to create unique performances and installations online! Students will pick up a supply kit from Archer that includes materials for all projects. Campers will “travel virtually” to different destinations all over the world (real and imaginary) from their very own home. On Fridays, family and friends will join the campers in the “reveal” of their artwork and creations!

Girls in Action

Archer has curated an exciting and varied program for girls entering grades 6-12 that offers weekly virtual workshops on topics ranging from podcasting to studio art. Workshops emphasize project-based learning and creative exploration. Workshops are designed to promote learning a new skill or area of academics led by our expert faculty.

Girls on Stage

Our four-week summer musical theatre intensive offers girls entering grades 6-9 a conservatory-type experience focusing on the areas of voice, acting, and performance. Students will rehearse and perform a full-length musical and participate in weekly cabarets and playwriting workshops.

APC is a fun and exciting photography learning experience that expands technical abilities and liberates creative vision. The 5 day adventure begins with a basic overview of camera functions and ends with an exhibition showcasing the kids’ work from the week.

Through a series games, scavenger hunts and expeditions, we focus on light and composition as a means to express ourselves.
