Lights! Camera! …Act One! Welcome to Act One Theatre Camp, a dynamic and interactive theatre experience where campers, ages 6-15, will spend each and every day acting, singing, dancing, and more! Join us as we rock out in our unique and exciting classes on the Glendale Community College campus. Whatever class they’re in, be it acting or movie-making, make-up or dance, or singing or improv… the spotlight will follow them the whole time! Campers will create and star in their own theatrical adventures, and will showcase their amazing talents for the whole family to enjoy at our end-of-camp Big Show. From the shy wallflower to the class clown: All levels of experience welcomed!

Founded in 1967 as a non-competitive, non-traditional arts camp, Camp Med-o-lark opened its arms to the creative, the curious, and the free-spirited. Building on the founding, we encourage and embrace inspiration, experience, collaboration, imagination, individualism, equity, and inclusion. We have created a second home for campers ages 8-16 to grow their artistic abilities and nurture their talents. Campers can design their own program and set their artistic goals in just one session.

Each day consists of six activity experiences with time a rest hour (we call “Chill Time”) before dinner. We also offer day trips, excursions, and special events that campers and staff create. There is also built-in time to play, be social, discover, relax, design, laugh, and breathe. By the end of their session(s), they are proud to share their creations with fellow campers, friends, and family. We offer (and continue to evolve) activities and experiences to promote self-expression, grow self-esteem, and build a foundation for lifelong creativity as they develop as young humans.
Situated on 50 acres within peaceful, natural surroundings in the Maine woods, Camp Med-o-lark is the ideal setting for personal expression and ensemble collaboration. Our camp is located on a gorgeous lakefront property that also houses a historic farm, creating a magical village that awakens the senses like few places can. It is an atmosphere filled with creativity, arts, music, Theatre, activities, energy, laughter, and fun, where friendships and memories form to last a lifetime.

At Mixon Musical Theatre NonProfit Day Camp, we believe the best way for your child to grow is through the magic of performing a show! Each summer, we immerse campers in the world of theater, where they act, sing, dance, design sets, and manage props—all while learning exciting skills like aerial silks, visual arts, and even mindfulness through yoga and meditation. Our unique approach blends technical theater with creative expression, ensuring every child has the chance to shine and take pride in the process. Over the course of 3 weeks, campers will rehearse and perform James and the Giant Peach the Musical – songs written by the composers of The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen. Culminating in a spectacular show that showcases their hard work and growth, kids and parents alike can take pride in their creative and collaborative abilities. Join us for an unforgettable summer where kids not only learn but thrive in the world of theater!
