Description:

Why Camp Kids Klub?

Have you ever thought, “Why Camp Kids Klub?” From our favorite songs, to hilarious games, special surprises and yummy treats, our camp has tons of unique traditions that campers look forward to each summer. We guarantee that we’ll keep the energy high and the fun flowing throughout the camp day!

We believe that camp is an essential experience in a child’s life. Camp is about the feeling that anything is possible. Children should spend their time at camp on adventures and having dynamic experiences- learning, playing, making lifelong friends, and being surrounded by people that inspire them.

As our camp song says, “In 1995, Kids Klub arrived!”, and we have been perfecting summer camp ever since! Here are some of our favorite things!

Above all, Camp Kids Klub is all about friendships, new and old! Whether you have been coming to camp for five years or it is your first day, you can count on making friends right away. To that end, we do team building first thing every Monday morning so that campers get to know one another and their counselors. Moreover, throughout the week we continue to play wacky games during group time to solidify these bonds. We believe that camp friendships are some of the strongest friendships you can have. We love seeing those friendships grow year after year!

Each week at Camp Kids Klub is organized around an exciting Theme. Hence, during “International Week” we learn about different countries and cultures through cooking, dance, art, and sports, and every child gets their very own passport! For “Island Adventure Week” we’ll act like pirates and have a Luau party! Another favorite at Camp Kids Klub is “Olympic Week”, our annual all-camp competition between the Yellow, Blue, and Green Team, who will win this year!? No matter the theme, we plan events that everyone will enjoy!

Finally, this is your opportunity to be a cowboy, alien, wizard, or superhero! We will have a costume contest with prizes for everyone who dresses up. Staff look forward to dress-up days as much as the campers! Don’t be surprised if your counselor suddenly turns into a purple-haired Rock Star!

Camp Pinniped at Home

Type: Animal Camp, Beach, Day Camp, Orange County Camp, Science, STEM, Virtual Camps & Classes

Description:

Camp Pinniped at Home is a week-long, online program, offered by Pacific Marine Mammal Center, for kids, ages 8 – 12.

Camp Pinniped investigates marine science through the world of marine mammals and is full of fun, interactive activities and STEM oriented topics to keep kids learning.

Through a series of live chats, videos, presentations and activities, children will discover how we rescue and rehabilitate our seal and sea lion patients. They will also dive in and explore different careers in marine science, hearing from and talking with professionals, such as our animal rescuers, veterinarians and biologists, about what their job is like. Each day has a different marine mammal theme in order to provide a well-rounded study of our ocean environment.

The program is hosted by enthusiastic and engaging instructors who will lead your child through interactive activities and projects. No parent assistance is needed during the program!

This program is a science and conservation based program designed to educate, build awareness and interest about the environment, marine life and protecting it! This program is aligned with a variety of Next Generation Science Standards. As an added bonus, online campers will be invited to a future sea lion release at the beach!

If COVID19 restrictions are lifted and we can open to the public, we will be offering an onsite version for kids and teens full of hands on and observational activities around the animals!

Each lesson covers a different science topic, and our experiments are designed to reinforce them through kinesthetic learning – learning by doing!

At the end of the week, all our Eggheads will graduate with a degree – the cheapest one they’ll ever get!

All materials for camp will be shipped to you prior to camp starting and are included in your camp registration, so you’ll have everything you need to have a blast with us!

From the egg drop to the strength bridge, from the tall tower and catapult to the balloon car, Campers will have a blast every day with each new challenge. Just like real engineers, everything they build will be tested along the way, from the giant crush test to the twisting tornado test.  At the end of the week, they’ll be ready to engineer their way through anything!

June 15- June 19, 9 AM – 12PM

EXPLORER CAMP

Lace up your boots, grab a compass, and buckle up for a week of awesome adventure science with Professor Egghead! All week at camp, Eggheads will learn what it means to be Extreme Explorers as they dig for fossils, make tar pits that bubble, clean up oil spills, race magnetic bumper cars, and make snow! Each day at camp, Eggheads will take home their experiments, and by the end they’ll be true Extreme Explorers. Caution : Fun Guaranteed!

June 22- June 26, 9 AM – 12PM

DETECTIVE CAMP

There’s a mystery to solve! Someone has broken into the Academy, and we need a few good detectives to help track them down! Campers will become super sleuths as they use science to solve all types of mysteries while trying to crack the case.
