Steve and Kate’s Camp

Type: Coding, Day Camp, Design, Film, Performing Arts, Robotics, Sports, STEAM, STEM, Tech, Tinkering

Description:

When you trust kids, they trust themselves. Since 1980 Steve & Kate’s Camp has trusted kids to choose their own activities and plan their own days in real-time. Whether campers are designing, building, coding, creating, baking, dancing, playing, eating, sewing, skipping—it’s all on their own schedule. Because when you empower children to make their own choices and be their own bosses, the children discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity–all while learning to make course corrections and trust themselves as they go.

Families can buy as many days as they’d like, and use them at any time. No weekly reservations or commitments required–just show up! If for any reason your plans change, they’ll automatically refund any unused Passes in full at summer’s end.

Ages: 4–12 | Lunch, snacks, and all hours (8am–6pm) included.

Description:

As the industry leader in pre-college summer enrichment programs, Summer Discovery has been inspiring young minds for over 58 years. Our decades-long partnerships with top universities are what set us apart from other summer programs. These university partners design exclusive curriculum and hand select course instructors that provide Summer Discovery students with the most authentic academic college experience available for high school students. It’s no wonder Summer Discovery is the #1 Summer Enrichment Program Recommended by High School College Counselors.

We offer over 300 courses and academies spanning a wide range of academic fields of study, including STEAM+, sports management, law, politics, business, leadership, politics, medicine, psychology, arts, engineering, medicine, psychology, forensic science, data science, marine biology, nursing, and so much more. University options span from Ivy League to International – including Dartmouth, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UT Austin, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea, and more. Plus, new this year – a program with IMG Academy Florida pairing unparalleled academics with world-renowned athletics and elite coaching.

In California, we offer residential programs at UC Santa Barbara – as well as residential and commuter programs at UCLA, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and UC Berkeley. Of all our programs, UCLA is our most popular. That’s because after a 38-year relationship with UCLA, we are able to offer a program that no one else in the industry can even come close to. Our curriculum, access to facilities, and campus experience is second to none. Our immersive academic curriculum, intensive academies, and instructors are hand-selected by UCLA. Students learn from real-world leaders and titans in the world of business and entertainment, author their own screenplay, get serious about robotics, try their hand at fashion design, explore innovative solutions to lessen the impact of climate change, learn what it takes to pursue a career in sports business, film production, medicine, law or so much more.

In addition to offering 2-6-week programs for high school students, we also offer a middle school program that offers students a balanced day and a taste of college life, and our institute for the gifted offers students from grades four through eight the ability to pursue their academic passion alongside likeminded peers.
Summer Discovery programs deliver tangible outcomes for every student that bolster college-ready confidence and a love of learning that inspires students ongoing academic pursuits. We perfectly balance academic rigor and personal growth, with on-and-off campus activities and exploration.
